    You’ve opened my eyes to how you view the world. Whoa.
    The defund the police liberals are never going to enforce the laws and the world knows it too.
    Watch…if a pub president gets in and you’ll see the border lines reduced.

    You are probably naive enough to believe it’s just coincidence that Iran/hamas attacks Israel, Russia attacks Ukraine and millions of migrants come to our southern border under the weakest president we’ve likely ever had.
    Open those eyes.

    We will all soon be reminded what a weak President allows to have happen. For those who don't remember just look back at the jolly time we had under a super nice, good guy and peanut farmer Jimmy Carter. Good guy just not what this country needs to lead it as the President.

    Libs are for open boarders until the Democrat run cities start seeing the result of their open boarder error.

    Hey, that one is appropriate if you know the underlying context.

    They will when they find out that we're going to charge people to cross back and forth...

    I guess using your logic, Reagan was a weak President too? Because before this past year, the highest number of immigrant apprehensions happened under Reagan. And Reagan didn't deal with a global pandemic which suppressed the number of immigrants coming for about 18 months.

    except if you were a slave owner or a slave and were talking about wages…in which case capitalism creeps in.

    I'm not sure what you are trying to say. Capitalism is perfectly compatible with slave labor, and the people that want to argue wage labor is fully "voluntary" are doing so as an economics textbook abstraction.

    look…98% of the migrant crop workers are Hispanic, just like the % of the people crossing the boarder illegally. Your previous comment about onions and the need of cheap labor was directed at Hispanics and by every definition of that word your statement was racist. I assume you didn’t originally mean it that way…just a poor choice of words….but your defense of it is raising eyebrows.

    Agreed that 98% of migrant workers are Hispanic. But that's because the current supply of migrants is high in S and C American countries, and it's easier for people from these countries to migrate to the US. If sometime in the future, countries like Venezuela and El Salvador improve their conditions, and they, along with Mexico, aren't sending migrants to the US, and we still have a labor demand, we'll have to find a different source. Plenty of people in Africa who would likely sign up to work these jobs for a chance at a living wage. Plenty from poorer Asian countries as well. And if people from Europe want to sign up, so be it.

    There is nothing racist about a need for labor, and supply of labor being met mostly by one ethnic group because of geography and geo-politics. If there is any racism here, it's the fact that most Caucasian countries are better off than many Hispanic, African, and some Asian countries. But that's a discussion for a different thread of geo-politics and years of racist policies by major powers. Doesn't change the fact that our current situation, we have a demand for immigrant labor, and many countries to our south, who happen to have a mostly Hispanic citizenship, has a supply willing to make the trek here to work.

    These facts themselves aren't racist. They are just the truth. Making it sound racist is a poor attempt from you to demean me. And like I said before, I honestly don't care who fills the demand for our immigrant labor needs. But the cheapest and easiest option we have is to allow those already here to work, and allow new entrants, mostly from Mexico and all points south to enter on a guest worker visa.

    so what did Biden do that changed the way the laws are overseen and implemented?
    let me help..nothing
    immigration has jumped because of the lack of safety and food in the countries in central and south america.
    if you want to decrease the flow, address the issues in the home countries and those people will not risk life and limb to get out
