At least Miami lost to a quality opponent. Tech was 1-3 and had just lost to Bowling Green 38-27 the previous week. Da U is back I tell ya!
I have to drive from Stuart to Miami tomorrow. I will be listening at 5:45, but I am thinking the really good stuff will start around 7:00.
That's why no one will sell them. It would be a losing proposition because you'd have to make a circuit around the the entire stadium to have enough prospective customers just to sell one tray.
Just to pile on… Midway through the 3rd quarter, Ga Tech had 80 yards of offense, 0 points, and 6 possessions. All in all, Ga Tech’s punter had 271 yards punting as compared with Tech’s offense which finished with 250 yards (nearly 30% of which came on the final drive). Georgia Tech was held to 13 2nd half points against Bowling Green (a team whose only other win was against Eastern Illinois). Miami held Ga. Tech to 23 2nd half points (the most 2nd half points they’ve scored this season). Go GATORS! ,WESGATORS
Think I read that Tech had 74 passing yards up until their final drive....when they got 76 on two plays to win the game.
The one in Oregon wasn't nearly as bad. The Ducks needed a first down to run out the clock, otherwise would have punted with like 10 sec left. If they just took a knee it would have left a few extra seconds. Because the Cardinal had a timeout, and with it already being second down, Cristobal’s decision to run the ball made more sense at the time. He couldn’t run out the clock with a knee like he could have on Saturday night against Georgia Tech.
They fumbled on 2nd down with 51 seconds left, and Stanford only had one timeout. They could've taken a knee on that play, forced Stanford to use the last timeout, then taken another knee which would've run the clock down to probably less than 10-15 seconds, taken a penalty, and punted giving Stanford less than 10 seconds. I realize they risked a potential blocked punt, but that's still a better option than what they did.
Had totally forgotten that Herm Edwards made the scoop and score. As bad as that was it was only one play. The Canes had a total collapse, not just Cristobal and the RB. Where was the defense that allowed Tech to go 75 yards in 30 seconds.
