Money is the only thing that makes sense that Sabin was able to take the top 25 players and everybody else got the leftovers and consistently did that year after year. Of course, those boosters were paying them.
“Sale and Stapleton are decent recruiters, not bad ones. If they have the dudes, they’ll coach them well, like they did last year,” Long told SDS. “But if I could fault the Napier regime to date with one big thing, it’s that they lack a no-frills recruiting machine on staff. I’m talking about a guy who you can make the tight ends coach or whatever and he goes and gets players at any position in any region against any school recruiting the kid. Urban had that guy in Doc Holliday. He had no boundaries as a recruiter. Florida needs that guy right now because they aren’t landing them on the offensive line.”
we said the the same thing about Hev last coaching staff. Let’s see if CBN doesn’t make that same mistake
I thought Ivey & Gouraige …but could wrong. But have to say OL ranking out of HS is the least predictable position. And I don’t think it’s close. It’s just really hard to tell with kids that age. Looking at schools like Utah, Stanford, Wisky etc. a ton of 3 star talent that gets developed.
Its kinda like taking one of those free vacations where you just have to listen to that time-share pitch. How many full-grown adults fall for that.
