Is that the new crypto? Should I put all my money in it?

Eventually there will be like 3-4 streaming services after they consolidate and we will be back to the network TV model, except you'll have to pay for them and still view ads

I switched from Spectrum, to YouTube TV, and went back to Spectrum.

Now my bill is lower than ever, I don’t have to pay for hundreds of channels I don’t need. And I can talk to someone over the phone if need be.

No, but it asks me "Who's watching?" If I click on my name, I can watch!

Mine does that everytime I log in. I just don't have to give login credentials

hardware issue. Mines worked flawlessly for 5 years and I share with 3 others in my area.

Great opportunity to pick up the LGc2 77”

Edit also never use Op systems of Smart TV’s gett an Apple TV box…

I've had yttv for a few years and have never experienced any issues, except with the whole SEC+ fiasco. Yttv doesn't "carry" SEC+, so I have to use my yttv credentials on the Espn app to view SEC+.

I'm guessing that you downloaded the app to your SmartTV. We had the same issue and I hated it, because I would have to delete and download the app again to get it to work.

Solution: Get an Amazon Firestick. ($20)

This puts the required memory and CPUs (or whatever) on the Firestick, not your TV. The firestick operates MUCH better than having the app on your TV. Once you get it, you plug it into an HDMI port on your TV and select the correct input on your TV. You will search for the Youtube TV app, which will be one of the first to appear. Then, you just need to verify your account 1x and will always be able to access YoutubeTV reliably w/o the hassles you've experienced.

Firestick also offers some free apps that host movies. Last night we watched Skin Deep with John Ritter - hilarious.

For 6 months maybe. Then they jack the price up.

Thanks. It'll take me a while to sort all these solutions out. It doesn't help that I'm technologically illiterate.

This could be tied to whenever your Smart TV was produced. I read somewhere that they can reach a point where new software updates won't load. A separate Roku box, Fire Stick or Apple TV are better choices to avoid your kind of problem.

I was running an Apple TV off a computer monitor and it always went right to the video instead of the "who's watching," but when I switched it to a TV it asked me every time. I think there is probably something with the power saver options at play as well. I don't think I ever turned the power off on the monitor, but always do on the TV.

I've been with YTTV for six months now and never experienced that login issue. It does happen too frequently with ESPN+, though.

I've read that YTTV customer service is responsive, you might give that a shot.

Was with DirecTV forever and there are pluses and minuses with YTTV, but the savings are significant. The NFL works great. I see DirecTV just jacked up their prices again.

Hulu Live keeps raising their rates. Thinking of switching back to Sling. Its still fairly cheap.

Never going back to cable, if for nothing more than principle. Those bastids cant win!

Isn't the spectrum TV app cheaper than Hulu or YTTV?

Can this be coincidence? I think not.

Today another poster (not me) mentioned Firestick in this thread that I started.

So tonight in my junk email folder I find an email (five of them, from five slightly different addresses) from "Fire TV Stick Confirmation." No message in the body of the email, just the subject "Complete Registration form asap to receive your package." IOW I'm supposed to fill out some registration form to receive my Firestick.

Can personal Internet tracking from cyberspace get any closer than this?

Did Sling get ESPN back? I know they lost it for a bit

I made the same move btw. Left Sling for Hulu live. But now Hulu live is too expensive
