The next time florida is successful funneling running plays to the alley for either safety to make a tackle will be the first time since i dont know when, maybe never or Louis Oliver. UF has historically been at its best defensively spilling all running plays to the sideline (where the RB doesnt get a chance to run downhill) and using their team speed to rally to the ball

 

If we are being honest, the tackling from the safety position has left much to be desired thus far. The true freshman has been the best at it, which is not a position you want to be in.

Agreed. The true freshman Castell is the best of the safeties at tackling, but at 6’2 200, he needs another 10 - 15 pounds before he’s going to be able to lower the boom on SEC RB’s.

 

We've seen RBs carry five or six of our defenders with them for extra yardage several times this season.

 

There was a play where our 450lber hit davis at the Los. Dez moved backwards.

I forget were I heard it, but our PFF grade for tackling against UK was the worst performance by UF since they started, which was 2014, and we have had some historically bad D's recently. Personally, I'll give the D a pass on a game that was so far out of whack from what we have seen thus far. I fully expect they will bounce back.

 

It's almost like they were making some kind of statement with how poorly they played.
