He's been advising one of the Supervisors in the County where I live, resulting in our Board cancelling the Dominion contract and moving to hand counting, all at the cost of several million dollars. Fortunately, it looks like the state legislature is stepping in, but its been a total cluster, in no small part because of Lindell.

It is my belief that capitalists like Lindell must have motivations for going full bonkers for Trump / Maga.

Like so MANY others associated with the 2016 election it looks like he to will drown in legal debt, potential incarceration and destruction of his business.

I guess he thought unadulterated aligence to his puppet master would enrich him.

I suppose if Trump gets reelected it may be worth it but that's a big gamble.

I see many of Trumps appointees, allies and supporters paying a stiff price for going forward with all the "steal" nonsense.

But hey, the guy may be the Viceroy of California if Trump wins and sets up his dictatorship.

Watching those vids he clearly has something wrong with him, perhaps he himself is a certifiable narcissist.

Depositions are nasty affairs. Can’t say I blame him.

Money is usually a good guess generally. Also, Lindell has talked about the "divine appointment" when he met Trump and left the meeting believing Trump would be "the greatest president in history." Whether he's sincere about his claimed religious convictions, I don't know. Maybe that's sufficient enough for him. We do know he wanted to be RNC chair and also considered running for public office himself. So I do think he saw some opportunity to increase his own power and get more political.

Can you imagine if any democrat were on film acting like this during a deposition … it would be amazing how fast they’d change their tune….

Look I don’t know what this case is about but it’s not unreasonable to be annoyed at a depo. Look up the Lil Wayne depo it’s amazing.

Aside from the fact that Lil Wayne wasn't a presidential advisor and his opinions weren't being tracked by the biggest cable news outlet, I don't recall Lil Wayne criticizing the Court during his deposition. From what I recall even Trump typically goes after judges on social media or rallies and not during sworn deposition testimony.

Perhaps, but it's not reasonable to be rude and belligerent, and it's counter productive to take pot shots on the record at the judge, and to over all conduct yourself as uneducated and uncivilized.

I kinda' fault his attorney for not doing nearly enough to reel his guy in.

At the very least, I'm asking for a break to talk to my client (I've done this before--and talked rather sternly to clients, in order to avoid this sort of shit-show...). I'll have to refrain from sharing why my next moves would be--but that's step no. one. Reel your guy the hell in (if you can).

Maybe the guy simply can’t be reasoned with in any rational sense, not unlike the guy he was “advising”.

Not sure I believe he actually “blew $300milliion”. Maybe he also inflated his net worth or is trying to hide some assets from all the claims he’s going to have to pay out. It does seem he may have imperiled his company by mixing personal and business finances.

I haven't watched his deposition, but I've seen the movie "Pillow Talk," which is probably more entertaining.

Perhaps, but, imho, you don't sit idly by an tacitly endorse the behavior. Take him outside, read him the riot act, do the best you can to reel him in.... Otherwise he looks like a fool, you look like you coached him up to be a fool, and your ability to represent your client is significantly compromised. You then have to couch your arguments with shit like "...you may not like my guy...", and "...despite what he actually said, you have to look past that that...".

Again, jmho. I've had feisty cats, and had to get down right nasty with some of them (and I've had to ....do the distancing thing a couple of times as well, when I stuck around when I wasn't able to reel 'em in).

Of course I do have to caveat that the clips appear to be selected snippets to buttress the motion, and don't show what went on off record--so there's a fair chance that his attorney(s) attempted to reel him in off rec.

I'm not sure he can be reeled in. Not only about his deposition vids. He seems to have been unhinged and persistently belligerent for quite some time.

It's not unreasonable to wonder how his decades of drug abuse factors into it.

Idk.... as I said before, I've had some fight'n mad cats show their asses in depos before. I think he could have been cooled off with a stern splash of perspective thrown in his face. In the last month, I've had 2 clients get all ruffled in depos, and take the offensive--and in both cases I was able to go off rec, have a talking to, hear them out, let 'em blow some steam off, explain why that's not a productive approach, and come back in collected, reserved, and damn near polite. One of them is a wild buck who runs with some of the Bucs' players--not one who's easily tamed (the other was ex military; a little easier get him to relate to 'authority').

IMHO, Lindell needed his attorney to get in his grill, so that the judge wouldn't have to later--on the record, with sanctions in play. I believe he would have listened, because while he's certainly not the most refined/polished/educated of folks...he's sharp enough to have pulled himself out of the gutter and made something respectable of himself. IMHO, he needed to be checked--and perhaps his ego fed a bit.... Deferring to the Judge to do that (checking, not the ego part) for you, is not wise law practice. Sanctions, ill will, alienate the judge... just not a good look... and if any of that shit makes it to a jury in some way or another, it will likely not bode well for his case.

If your pissed...be curt. Short answers. Less is more. Whisper "FU" through a polite looking smile... never give more than they ask for... Leave the arguing to your lawyer. That's what you're paying him/her for.

    jmho/fwiw.

Seems to me, he's relapsed. I hope he can make it back in without suffering or hurting others too much.

Lindell is broke, owes his attorneys millions they will never see and needs millions more in pending legal fees. Another person just absolutely ruined by Trump and his lies. Just amazing the wake of bodies and careers that Trump leaves behind him and people still support him.

Lawyers say election denier and 'MyPillow Guy' Mike Lindell is out of money, can't pay legal bills (msn.com)

Attorney Andrew Parker wrote in documents filed in federal court on Thursday that his firm and a second firm representing MyPillow in lawsuits by Smartmatic and Dominion Voting Systems can't afford what it would cost to represent Lindell and MyPillow through the rest of the litigation. Continuing to defend him would put the firms “in serious financial risk,” he wrote.
