Biden is playing 3D chess... he knows by him putting up border walls, the QOP will suddenly decide it is a horrible thing to do and will call for Open Borders!

 

Most everyone has been in agreement that walls in high crossing areas makes sense. Good.

Good example of Trump being right and wrong at the same time. Physical walls work in certain areas, and not in others. He could have been more compassionate in his rhetoric, but went full a-hole. Oh well.

There is an ecological impact that is wrong in this instance. Yeah, we can all say “screw the animals”, but as caretaker of the nature is a conservatism principle.

 

TFG spent four years saying he was going to build a wall and make Mexico pay for it, and what was built was just replacement fencing Obama had installed. Just more evidence to show that republicans can only spend their time whining while Democrats actually get things done.

Walls in high traffic areas that can be manned easily and prevent auto/truck traffic from easy access make sense. We've had walls at official border crossings for years. Wall in the middle of the desert or in mountainous areas? Absolutely waste of money. Stops nobody from getting in. Just ask Isreal. There is good reason in the same thread I was quoted I posted a picture of the sand dunes outside Yuma, and the mountains near Douglas.

 

When that wall finally gets built, nobody will be trying to get in. We'll be trying to get out.

You are absolutely right. Wherever you have a wall, be prepared to install a manned "watch tower" every 100 meters. What the person in the watch tower is supposed to do when people try to breach the wall will depend upon who's in the White House.
