Tampa Mustangs-TJ. He either completely retired or took a year off. Don't know which. In his absence, I believe the premier Mustangs' 18U team was the Mustangs-Rene. Anybody that knows better, correct me.
Kylie Shaw has committed to the Gators. Outfielder, it seems. And based on the social media posts, the Gators held their first official practice of the fall yesterday. 1 week until the first fall game.
Neither Kylie Shaw nor Makenna Bellaire are in Softball America's 2025 Top 50. When does Taylor Shumaker come?
I have no idea what she’s rated. Looks like she is from somewhere in Florida. Taylor Shumaker will be on campus this time next year.
The Softball Schedule website now posts the full 2024 schedule. https://floridagators.com/sports/softball/schedule
She is not listed on SA's, or EIS's rankings. What is up with that? Anyone have access to D1 Softball to look at their rankings?
FYI....Gators overall record against the teams they are playing prior to SEC schedule is 136 & 25. Ten of those loses were to UCLA which they have never beaten.
A friend of mine coaches against her team down in Southwest Fl area, said she is horribly underated because she does not do alot of camps and all. But looking up her info she batted like .580 against good competition and I hear she is very fast and good defensively. She thinks she is easily a top 10 maybe top 5 player in the 2025 class in Florida. I am referring to the Shaw young lady
I apologize. Completely misread stats. Gators 204 & 52 against teams they are playing before SEC games start with loosing records against UCLA 6 & 10, Calif St Fullerton 4 & 5 & UIC 1 & 3.
I know next to nothing about her but I can say with certainty that she camped many places. FSU, Georgia, UF, Clemson, Tennessee, and Arkansas. Might be others. I don't know if she had other offers. She is from a small 2A Christian school near Ft. Myers. 5'5" center fielder. As for rankings, hopefully she is a diamond in the rough that others missed. I can also say this has been a very difficult recruiting year and we are in a Plan B mode. Perhaps the strength of our '23 and '24 classes has scared off the top rated talent. I don't know but we got none of them. Oklahoma is loaded and they have grabbed six of the very elite recruits and have blown away having the #1 class. FSU is loaded and got at least three very highly rated recruits. Our last top level hope was an excellent pitcher out of Illinois by the name of Berkley Zache. She was supposed to visit us for an official visit but I don't know if she ever did. She committed two days ago to Oklahoma which simply added another name to what was already far and away the best class in the country.
Jolyna Lamar is in the 25 class, correct? Or is she 26? I don’t think she has committed anywhere yet and she would be the big catch for this class, I would think.
Yes. JoJo is Class 2025. She is one of the very few left on our list of recruits we were interested in when recruiting started Sept. 1. JoJo has been very quiet about her recruiting and interests. She has not committed yet. JoJo's situation is very complicated. Her sister, Layla, should sign with us this November. But, JoJo's mother is the head coach at Duke. Plus, her father has been deathly ill for several months now. Received a heart and kidney transplant but just this week again landed back in the hospital. How all of this might influence JoJo's decision is unknown. She might feel she should stay close to home given the family situation. Edit: I guess I should add that when I say "our list" it is something I put together reading the tea leaves. It is not based on inside information. That said, I believe my list has been 100% accurate to this point.

I saw some of her stuff, she is better then a PLAN B to me, but I dont see her everyday so you probably can speak better about it then me..throwing height in there doesnt make or miss for me....from what I been told she hits, runs, fields and throws above avg. so I will take that even if she turns out to just be a situational player. I have no idea about the other young lady though. Thanks for you input
Doesn't mean anything other than she is on the smallish side. I don't know her or Makenna Bellaire. Neither were on my list so I highly doubt as of Sept. 1 there was much interest. Things changed though when everyone else (there are three left out of 20) went elsewhere. I figured nine of them were top priority. Five went to Oklahoma; two to FSU; one each to Tennessee and Texas. Of the remainder on the list two to Georgia; one each to FSU, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Clemson and Auburn.
