Taking my 16 month down for his first game and for my 40th birthday. We’ll be staying downtown at the Hyatt and the wife will be walking to the stadium with the stroller when he wakes up from his nap (unless there is transportation from downtown?). Good wife. She’s willing to make the 30-40 minute walk with the stroller while my buds and I tailgate. But I need to have our vehicle close by to the stadium so that she can dump the stroller in it and join us for the Gator Walk. I’m willing to get up early to get a parking space and pay (not really concerned about price) for it so that we are situated for before and after the game. I know the O’Dome parking lot is for big boosters (or at least was the last time I was down for a game) so that’s a no go. I recall in my college days people with houses near the stadium would sell spots in their yard but the concern would be getting boxed in and not being able to leave after the game if my vehicle is one of the first they take. Any ideas for parking given the situation?
The last few games, we've ended up parking in the parking garage 105 on Gale Lemerand drive (circled on map below). Covered parking and relatively easy exit, and within walking distance of the Union. You do have to get there early - I wouldn't recommend anything later than 4 hours before kickoff - but it's really worked for us.
plenty of no block parking NW 22nd street the street that dead ends in univ ave at the old President’s House
Yep from there east to 19th Street. Get there early enough it will be easy to find a no block spot. I’m curious why the wife is walking that far unless your vehicle is the tailgate vehicle. Why don’t you take a cab early, block off a spot in a yard and the wife drives the car in
