What sort of margin would you consider a landslide, and are you talking about the popular vote or the Electoral College? I mentioned the E.C. because Republicans have only won the popular vote once since 1988. I'm not sure Trump is going to break that trend given that he lost by 7 Million votes just three years ago. That said, the country is divided, and people seem ready to move on from both of them. We'll also have to see how third party candidates affect things in the states that are actually in play. I definitely think Trump can win.

I don't want to clog up the thread with this stuff either, but from my point of view, he started it with the "skippy" nonsense. No purpose to that but to antagonize. By no means am I attempting to weigh the comments by each as equal, but there's no doubt who started it on this thread. Making fun of @channingcrowderhungry for his business success is an odd flex; most everybody here has respect for what he has shared and his journey through it.

I was gonna come up with a joke about Boris or Sunak, but I like England, and frankly you're not wrong. :)

I'm not a gamblin' man, but that objectively seems pretty silly.

“Now, there's one thing you might have noticed I don't complain about: politicians. Everybody complains about politicians. Everybody says they suck. Well, where do people think these politicians come from? They don't fall out of the sky. They don't pass through a membrane from another reality. They come from American parents and American families, American homes, American schools, American churches, American businesses and American universities, and they are elected by American citizens. This is the best we can do folks. This is what we have to offer. It's what our system produces: Garbage in, garbage out. If you have selfish, ignorant citizens, you're going to get selfish, ignorant leaders. Term limits ain't going to do any good; you're just going to end up with a brand new bunch of selfish, ignorant Americans. So, maybe, maybe, maybe, it's not the politicians who suck. Maybe something else sucks around here... like, the public. Yeah, the public sucks. There's a nice campaign slogan for somebody: 'The Public Sucks. F Hope.”

Oh don't get me wrong. Glass houses and stones - we absolutely suck.
But we kind of look at you guys as the leaders of the free world. We need you guys to be somewhat stable so we can get our own &^%$ together...

Besides, here at a Tory Party Conference yesterday, we have former Prime Minister Liz Truss shamelessly peddling the slogan "Make Britain Grow Again". Sound familiar? It's pretty clear we have no ability to think of anything new for ourselves...

That's Truss. The biggest draw at the conference. Remember her?

Ha, no y'all don't suck. But you do close the pubs too early. You could also use more salt & pepper, butter, and ice to go around.

The Truss drama went by so fast that I almost missed it, lol. The new guy seems pretty serious at least? I have a hard enough time keeping up with our own circus.

I don't usually enter into any thread that devolves into partisan bickering (but I do lurk with popcorn in hand). However, this statement irked me more than a little.

You may have never voted for Trump. Neither have I. But last I checked, you and I were both part of the voting populace of the USA. So "we" includes you and me and everyone else who casts a ballot whether their candidate wins or not. This whole "not my president" garbage on both sides is foolish on its face and downright divisive at its worst.

Biden has a milquetoast personality, and certainly not a dynamic persona like Obama, but as an administrator, Biden hasn't been bad. Know what G7 country has the biggest growth and lowest inflation rate at current? The US.

There's still a ton of time between now and election. The person leading the polls now doesn't mean much. It's like leading a MLB division at the beginning of June. Still have months of ball to be played. Let's see who is leading the polls after the conventions. That's when the incumbent usually gets the biggest bump.

He's a clown. The current conference is in Manchester.
Tomorrow, at the conference, he's going to announce that HS2 - or largest ever travel infrastructure project, which was supposed to connect London TO Manchester via high speed rail... is NO longer going as far as, you guessed it - MANCHESTER! It's too expensive and is stopping in Birmingham.

Way to read the room guys...

Odd on favorite? Based on one Irish gaming site. Trump up by 10 percent? One poll that's a clear outlier. A few days later another poll has Biden up by 5 percent. While Trump did out-poll Biden in a few recent polls it's just outside of the margin of error. Taken as a whole the election is virtually tied and let's not forget over the last several years, 2021 being an exception, Democratic candidates have outperformed the polls. FYI.

what freedom will you have under Trump that you don't have now?
Or what freedom have you lost under Biden that you had under Trump?
