I think OL play is a really big issue and holding back a lot of things. I’m thinking there will be some changes there this off-season.

True, but no one is asking for 24/7 deep routes.

He wants a stacked box with 12 for his blocking schemes for his run game. Which our OL and TE struggle with against teams with a pulse.

Spread the field, quicker passes that aren’t hitches. Remove the pirouette play action to save 1/2 second. There are strategies to help your qb and your OL.

    Adapt or die.

I still think he can be the guy, but stubbornness has caused many to fail.

I'm not thinking of a quick fix....

I'm thinking of a lack of desire to do what it takes to consistently be in the running for champions.

I think UF made a decision to win if winning can be done the way they want it to happen vs doing what needs to be done to make sure you are always a contender.

Isnt 6-6 the definition of roller coaster? Some here really have no appreciation for youth and still missing parts we are trying to cook with

The idea that billy can go and get a ST coach mid season is ridiculous, he isnt looking for a head fry cook. Which coach on staff is going to be let go to make room? How does that play for future hires? Giving a current staff member the responsibility would just be publicly naming a scape goat. Same for OC situation, letting an analyst call the plays game day might work, not sure of NCAA guidelines/rules but they cant coach at practice and not sure about contact in the offices.

Moderate tweeks to the scheme in terms of routes and formation changes. The terminology will accommodate the changes. The biggest improvement would potentially be more aggressive passing offense.

    i appreciate your evenness.

I really think Scott Stricklin should be answering to some of this mess. Football program isn't going anywhere....basketball....total trash....thank god for baseball!

First, I don't agree that naming a coach to ST has any negative connotation for that coach. But, even if it did: if CBN is more worried about someone's ego than trying to improve a very weak area of his program......

We have to have explosive plays, cannot win consistentlyon dunks and dunks. Many of our pass plays have been fairly predictable thus heavy pressure. BN seems to prefer to have short manageable third down yardage. On top of that teams are selling out to stop the run. So with less conservative and predictable play calling, I believe our qb can take shots down the field.
Yes, sometimes even then he will be pressured but right now we don’t really try. And to that, when we get behind by more than 2 scores, dinks and dunks will eat up clock as it has in the past. Bottom line I believe this is the preferred scheme of BN, ball control and TOP. Just my take

Agreed; it's not. Which, IMO, explains the seeming lack of urgency.
