Then the administration needs to make that clear to Gator Nation, for me at that point it would at least make it clear its no longer about winning championships and instead about paying the university's bills and fielding just a non championship caliber football team.
so depressing when you put it that way my man. and let’s be honest, would it surprise ANYONE if before signing day we see a tweet from DJ Lagway saying “after a long talk with my family, I think it’s best to decommit from UF and reopen my recruitment. Much appreciation to the Gator coaching staff but my recruitment is 100% open. Please respect my decision”? It would almost be parental negligence to let Lagway play in a Napier OC offense
Not calling for a firing, just want to see my team show me a little something! Saturday was embarrassing. I was waiting to see some of our players start crying for God's sake. "He hit me too hard"!!! Can't understand with someone like Brandon Spikes that the team didn't get the message that they need to fight!
Wouldn’t surprise me one bit. If/when that happens it will rapidly gain momentum and the buyout will be underway.
With all the money and support SS got for BN, you gotta wonder if BN or SS have the balls to go to the bank…
The reality is that most of us are like this. Don’t believe me? Ask 100 people if they believe their intelligence level is above average, average, or below average. The results will amuse you greatly.
Yeah cad waiting sucks BUT, don't take it so bad. Some of us that were born pre 1991 had to wait years, even decades, even 1/2 centuries. UF did not win an "official" SEC title (translated: A real championship win) until 1991. Most Folks that started attending UF in 1906 never experienced a Gator SEC championship, nor many born after. Just sayin
charlotte played UF with more toughness than UF did against UK. If Charlotte had UT’s talent, they woulda beaten us
I personally thing keeping DJ is more important than Ws for BN. I think his job depends on holding most of that class together. If it does fall apart drastically, he’s got nothing to sell to the fan base or the administration that he’s achieving anything.
indeed!! What’s frustrating offensively the most to me is the pace/lack of urgency. It’s tough watching them waste a whole 30+ seconds to run a predictable dive play on 3rd and intermediate-long. Speed it up especially with the new clock rules! We dont have the OL to be that way. whats going unsaid is while we knew losing Torrence would be huge, but boy we underestimated losing Ethan White and Tarquin as well, especially White
It’s all frustrating Bobby. I’m trying to be as evened keeled as I can. I think BN is doing what we all hoped Mullen would do off the field, he’s just not showing us anything on the field…… yet. This off season is very critical (staff changes, recruiting and portal).
8th highest in the SEC. Saban 11.7 Kirby 11.3 Jimbo 9.5 Kelly 9.5 Huepel 9 Kiffen 9 Stoops 9 Billy 7.4
My position on the recruiting aspect when Mullen was here, just and average effort with the talent base we have in the state of Florida would have been good enough.....Mullen's effort with regards to recruiting was a major travesty and is in large part what cost him his job as it reflected an over-all lack of effort in a number of other areas as well! A dismissal of Billy if it were to happen is going to negatively impact recruiting regardless as it would also through players subsequently leaving through the portal...........its just simply a fact of the nature of the beast that has become college football. Anyone have any idea why contracts with head coaches cant have some degree of reasonable performance based expectations in them? Being limited by a buy out clause for individuals, that don't meet a defined reasonable set of expectations is just crazy.
Doesn’t Billy & Co need to hit the OL portal hard at seasons end? That just seems to be a mechanism where you can now bring in high quality plug-n-play starters from that want to move up to a bigger program.
I understand, went to my first Gator game in 1967. I know of the struggles. But SOS spoiled us. We got used to winning (which isn't a bad thing).
