I know we have had protracted discussion about what constitutes a blue blood but we have only had one basketball decade lead by one coach at was not maintained upon changing of the guard, like Kansas or Kentucky. So yes, there is no historical context to say the Gators are a blue blood program. Not many others are. High caliber, yes, but not blue blood.
