Ok, I've never set foot on a college football field playing the game at that level but it's nice to see that I'm not crazy when I see the same thing that Harris does. I'm not sure if it's just a lack of leadership or the players we recruit mimic the personality of BN. Either way, the lack or intensity and urgency of our players is troubling. Harris is right. We need more players that are dogs.

I appreciate you posting that. Not quite as bad as I pictured from your initial post. I suspect it was some low level people associated with the team. I can’t believe coaches would really want to tone down the emotion in a game.

"Why should it take 4 years?" Plenty of scenario's where it doesn't take 4 years, like hiring a Meyer, Saban, even a Smart... then you know it won't take 4 years. Some coaches never improve, others take time to develop.. (currently Stoops would be a perfect example.). We didn't hire an elite coach, and obviously if our coach is going to be successful he will take more than 2 years - this is the information the AD and powers that be have to deal with. Napier can turn out to be a great coach in time, or not..

Obviously i'm pulling for him to upgrade himself and get the program making steady progress, and keep our recruiting up.

The one outcome i don't want is to cycle through coaches every 2.5 to 3 years if they are not ready made. I'm not married to CBN but i still thought he was a good hire, and his success will depend on whether he can make the necessary changes in the time he has been given.

Not sure how slow Harbaugh's rebuild was. With RichRod and Brady Hoke, the Weasels were 46-42 (.523). With Harbaugh:

We're averaging 11 players on the field, so it's all good.

And I'm assuming based on your request, you don't believe an environment like harris described isn't a projection of a top/down leadership mindset?

I’m worried, for Billy’s sake, that he won’t be able to hang on to his recruiting class with these kind of showings. UF may have to up their NIL-game to compensate for these on-field performances.

We're not a very good team right now in general. Played like meh vs a glorified high school team last week at home.
