Where was Wells? Thought he was going to be a game changer today? Saving him for Vandy?

Some people have nothing else to do but tie their identity to the achievements of kids who have absolutely no idea they exist. I agree it's odd.

Another extremely poor performance on all levels by the once mighty Gators. Not gonna get too worked up since I had them going 5-7 this year and losing to Kentucky.

Even if we get an OC next year (doubt it though) that person is just going to be an extension of BN's philosophy. No trailblazers here. So what does an OC even matter?

All true but does he have the courage to look in the mirror. A normal person would say "that was awful so we should start doing something different". Maybe the reason is he doesn't know how to do anything different.

We will probably get a good idea later this year or off season.

Hold on a second there bub. Arkansas isn't that good this year? They are plenty decent enough to beat us considering KJ Jefferson at QB is very good. If Rocket Sanders comes back (imo the best RB in America) he can put all sorts of work against our defense. Plus that game is on the road. I had that penciled in as a loss this season.

I thought about this recently. What proven OC is going to want to work under Napier's offensive philosophy?

I will root for the Gators next week like I do every week. I do not have any faith in this team at all. Probably finish 6-6 like last year, but can see 5-7. We do not look like a well prepared or cohesive team at all.

I want to remind everyone, again, we have a very young team. For those who haven't coached much, young teams tend to be roller coasters until they gel. They appeared to be very young today. Why Coach Armstrong didn't run blitz more often remains a mystery but he knows more than me. The Kentucky QB was supposed to be good on long throws so maybe they were worried about giving up quick strikes. I don't know. Also, Mertz didn't really have time and got rattled by the second half. You could see him checking down maybe a little fast. Can't say I blame him. He took some hits! Nobody who is a Gator is happy about today.

    You might be surprised.

Screw Lane, how bout that Freeze offense, eh? 4/6 for 28 yards passing at the half is nothing to sneeze at

Overall a pretty bad performance, I know I was pretty aggravated watching that. Then again I only have myself to blame, every Saturday I convince myself "this is the week that our offense starts to open things up and plays better" and every week I'm disappointed. We run the same weak ass pass plays over and over. I thought we would be a running team that sets up play action, but we continually seem to run into 8 man fronts and forget to mix in that play action. I can remember 3 passes that went downfield: Overthrow to an open receiver (first drive I believe), drop by Pearsall (he won't drop many of those, it happens), and a near TD by Caleb. So our guys can get downfield... why the hell don't we try it more often? Lastly, are audibles part of this offense? Can Mertz audible out of plays or is it BN from the sideline? So many times you can see Kentucky lined up in a stacked box and we just run it up the middle for a yard instead of changing the play. Seems like there is an opportunity there for improvement.

Granted I don't know anything about being a head coach but how do you get a team up mentally and emotionally for playing on the road. Whatever it is BN doesn't know how to do it either. Road record is horrid.
