And that is exactly what will happen. We are still in the infancy or NIL and paying players. Once there is more history, both players, coaches and collectives will have a basis on what is acceptable and what isn't. Without some guidelines from the NCAA or even the government, the system will have to come to some kind of common law rulebook. Players will know what's expected of them and collectives will know better how much a player might be worth with input from the coach (guessing here).

Yes, but there will always be schools that pay (UGAG, OSU, USC, LSU etc.) and those that don't. Just like there will always be players that demand money and some that the scholarship is enough (think players that go to USF, FAMU, or APP St.)

when the top player at his position in hs asks for it, they and others that have been paying will continue. It will not stop, because the teams willing to pay have been doing this for years. Saban’s minions will do this like always and get around any laws or sanctions, book it. Include Georgia, LSU, OSU, Oklahoma, is this the top five schools this year? Possibly add FSU since they have been ratted out earlier this month.

The ones not getting paid won’t be winning any games of consequence.

Most likely, if he testified before Congress, he was under oath. Are you suggesting he just made it up? Please.

He's not going to call out kids, and you know it.

And maybe that’s ok . Get out of this bs and have a Conference with like minded schools . Leave the high payers in a group of their own . Let’s have real students playing college athletics. Scholarship and some spending money .. if they are tracking towards graduation.

Recruits taking offer for a commitment has been going on a long time.

Now kids are getting paid for visits, for hats on tables and for naming teams in consideration.

I said a long time ago that NIL was going to be pandora's box. Everyone was so worried about compensating the maybe 10 guys each year who were the face of the college football brand. I'm talking a small handful of guys like Tebow and Manziel who literally were the face of college football and who's image was being used by the NCAA to promote the brand.

Instead the solution was to let everybody make money. Most of the kids getting paid right now will never be in the NFL and may won't ever play a down of college football.

Whatever. Nick’s just mad that the advantage they had in Tuscaloosa is no longer an advantage. Y’all remember them Bama croots flashing hundies on social media and driving around in new rides while our guys were getting in scooter accidents.

I really don’t see how regulations can keep me from paying someone to do something I want them to do…that’s not an illegal act.

Trask would have gotten huge money to stay if he has eligibility and it was nil time.

So you are watching the Columbia vs Princeton game tonight because that is what you will get. Looks like there are maybe 500-1000 people in the stands
