25 each year is 100 every four. Purge happens every year especially at programs taking over that number.

For players that are definitely gone after this year because of eligibility, it’s only 4 by my count looking at the roster on FloridaGators.com:
    Teradja Mitchell
    Lyndell Hudson
    Dante Zanders
    Ricky Pearsall

Keon Zipperer can probably get another year because of injury and hasn’t used a redshirt year yet.

Cam Carroll could probably petition for another year due to injury if he wants.

There will probably be NFL draft early entries and then you’ve got some older guys that might want go ahead and move on:
    Riley Simonds
    Jaelin Humphries
    Ja’Markis Weston
    Ja’Quavion Fraziars
    Ethan Pouncey

So yeah it’s definitely going to be interesting to see how they get the 25 guys in. Do the guys who are using their last year as a Covid year count against the 85?

Moten is listed as a Sr on 247. Maybe he has another year of eligibility.
I counted Cam and Keon in my seven ... plus those you listed and Moten.
    (7)

I had all five of your "older guys" on my list of possible transfer plus two more possibilities. I figured 4-5 of that group will transfer.
    (5)

Early NFL - I think five on the list @MaceoP provided will leave
    (5)

That is only 17...maybe 19. We need 6-8 more.

Moten is listed as a JR on our site. He has one more year. Looks like he played some special teams for Michigan in 2020 and didn’t RS, but that year doesn’t count against him. Played in ‘21, ‘22, and now ‘23. He’s got one more.

Something about his persona and the recruiting story around him has always reminded me of Jacob Copeland. I guess we'll see if this turns out the same.

Isn’t it funny how hard work and determination is the key to success over talent. There are a lot of guys like Michael Jordan and Tiger Woods that have the God-given talent but they always have the damn grit and the termination to be the best. There are so many guys like Jerry Rice that don’t have the athletic ability, but they still have that killer instinct and work ethic. There’s also far more guys that have the athletic ability, but we’re never able to succeed because of the lack of grit.

The most successful have BOTH. Talent and grit/ determination.

Yes, but average pro talent along with grit and determination is a very successful combination

As I recall, Kamari was Billy's first high profile guy, and a flip from Georgia.

He was never committed to Georgia. He was one of Billy’s first high profile guys. Shemar James was a big get in that class too.

This absolutely cracks me up because no one ever referred to Deion as a team player back in his playing days.

Also I would like to add that if it were any other coach demanding "film time" from their players, the press would have called them out on the 20 hour rule.
