LOL. They see the $ signs with Trump. This is ultimately about making money for these media companies. If you think otherwise than I don't know what to tell you. Trump still moves the needle somehow.

I agree Haley was better. My disagreement was with DeSantis being the loser of the debate. Couldn't be farther from the truth.

Have a lot of firsthand knowledge of the internal workings of the nation's newsrooms, do you?
Beyond that, DeSantis has said and done a lot more outrageous things than Haley. So if they just wanted page views, they'd hope for DeSantis, right?

“Honestly, every time I hear you I feel a little bit dumber for what you say.”

Nikki Haley’s put-down of Vivek Ramaswamy was perhaps the closest thing to a zinger in an otherwise messy Republican primary debate

I loved how she drilled that sleeze ball Vivek. She tied his biz dealings to China and said he cannot be trusted.

True, Ron and Nikki stood out and I like Tim Scott as a unifier but Scott is a bit too far right on some issues to win.

After last month’s first debate, where Haley provided a dose of realism on issues such as abortion, Haley has been drawing bigger crowds and fresh interest from donors. A CNN poll conducted by SSRS found that, in a hypothetical matchup, she leads Biden 49% to 43% while every other major Republican candidate is neck-and-neck with him.

No, just common sense. Media companies know trump is their cash cow. They fear DeSantis because of what he accomplished in FL(I don't agree with most of it) and that he would most likely beat Biden. Go look at the negative articles for DeSantis as opposed to Haley.

Agree 100%. Scott would be a possibility at VP but that's it for me. Haley or bust for me currently.

No, he's not any of those things. Just disagree with many of his positions. But I'll let you get back to poking your DeSantis voodoo doll.

In another sign of a candidate on the move, Haley was front and centre in many of the night’s most heated exchanges. She picked fights with some rivals, became a target for others and, in perhaps the ultimate compliment, drew fire from the Trump campaign, which distributed an email headed “The Real Nikki Haley” that described her as weak on border security and linked her to the Democrat Hillary Clinton.

And if the current Republican Party was still the party of Reagan she would be leading in the polls perhaps by a significant margin. The reality is that today's Republican Party is a cult of personality focused on the worship of a defeated indicted charismatic former president afflicted with narcissistic personality disorder who appears to have a preference for wearing so much makeup that he creates the impression of having an orange complexion.

    Nikki Haley on Trump…
“He was thin-skinned and easily distracted. He didn’t do anything on fiscal policy and really spent a lot of money, and we’re paying the price for it,” she said. “He used to be good on foreign policy, and now he has started to walk it back and get weak in the knees when it comes to Ukraine.”
    Get his ass Nikki.

Excuse me, but I believe the record on your record player is scratched. It keeps playing the same line over and over and over and over.
Dude we get it. Everyone knows what the cons have to deal with.
I remain hopeful, not overly optimistic, that the conservatives will pick a better candidate who would represent our country the way it deserves to be represented.
Biden and Trump are awful people.
Let’s bring back traditional values and a little class to the office.
    Nikki does that for me.

    Hey @Orange_and_Bluke ,

When Republicans think of politicians like Christie, Liz Cheney, or Mitt Romney, what is the overall impression? Are they viewed as traitors? RINOs? Obviously, they’d never get a Presidential nomination in this climate, but don’t you think that’s kind of what your party needs? I feel like a Republican who opposes Trump would be a bigger threat to the Democrats as long as Republicans embraced them.

First of all, do you think there's a chance that there's a lot more negative to write about DeSantis than Haley? What he's said, what he's done ... and the fact that he has been at least a bit of a contender, topping 30 percent in the GOP polls at one point. Haley's never been higher than six points.
Beyond that, you claim that the Post wants more Trump because he gets readers and page views. But you said Biden would beat Trump but DeSantis would beat Biden.
Wouldn't a DeSantis presidency get more attention - readers, viewers - than a Biden presidency, assuming he continues his war on all things he considers woke?

I think the WP wants the Dems in power above all else, hence them hammering DeSantis on pretty much everything he does. Let's see if they go in on Haley if she moves to 3rd in the polls. I'll say they don't, especially anywhere close to DeSantis or Trump.

I can’t speak for those who will still vote Trump. It isn’t my my thing.
My wife and I were just discussing this over coffee this morning. We were trying to think of people we know who still support trump. We couldn’t think of one person.
My guess is trump voters have been poisoned into thinking moderate candidates aren’t real republicans.
I do believe Nikki Haley could win the whole thing and beat the democrats.
    Trump simply can’t win.
Haley gets through and we’ll likely see Newsome emerge. That would be an interesting matchup.

I literally don't know anyone who's first pick in 24 is Trump. Now I know some people who will vote for him, but none who think he should be the candidate.
