Playing a team coming off a bye week can be a disadvantage. At least in the case of Georgia we also have a bye week.
One would think the SEC would reward us with a more favorable conference schedule in view of our schedule compared to many who schedule FOUR cupcakes per season. Oh wait…. We are talking about the SEC.

I predicted a win vs UT and I'm predicting a win vs UK. We will smack and pummel them. That's all.

Thanks for contributing. I have a few points to quibble.

Either Mertz is a much better QB than Leary or UK's OL is so bad that the incremental improvement from week to week teams make is not going to help them in this game. Pressure on the qb will be much worse on Leary this game. UF has few sacks only because UF has played 3 qb who run a lot. UF's edge players are very good.

UF has 2 receivers in the top 30 nationally by PFF. They are both game breakers. Both should be playing.

Talent at UF has increased massively in the past two years. The gap is still big between the 2 teams.

Big plays in the running game are highly unlikely for either team regardless of how good either team's rb are, which I would take Etienne over Davis every day.

Both teams will likely have a very disciplined defensive team (unlike the past 4 years on UF's side). I expect a very low scoring game. I see the deciding factors as penalties, kicking, and how the qb hold up to pressure.

If I cut Charley Pell slack for rebuilding the team in 1979 (and I do), I have to accord Stoops the same slack, and since his rebuilding year, Stoops transformed the 'Cat football team. We may quibble about various things, but I respect what he did for the program.

After the first 4 games UF only has 4 TD passes. 2 of those games were against completely outmatched cupcakes, should’ve had 4 in each of those games alone. This is still my biggest concern. The run game is great when it’s on. The defense is definitely better and will likely hold its own now. Gotta get the strike passing game clicking to win these SEC games though. Teams will continue to overload the box until you prove that.

Didn't Tennessee's QB say something similar to what that guy said about Florida? You'd think they could learn from other people's mistakes.

  13. Stoops treats the Gators like a Super Bowl, so he always has a plan to drag the Gators down and play ugly—even when the Gators have superior talent. Napier needs to bring his A-game in terms of coaching an ugly slugfest.

Why is it that Gator fans believe that every opponent plays the Gators like it is the Super Bowl? We haven't been much better than them the last decade. You make it sound they win because they play their AAA game while we play our FFF game. IOW, we lose because we give it away.

Well that's why I hope you all know we see you guys as a premier opponent. We still remember Spurrier, Tebow, and even the last decade Muschamp made a BCS Bowl, McElwain made SEC title games, and Mullen had multiple top 10 finishes. We know your program always is there....unlike Tennessee who has had 1 good year and now they're back on top forever and the greatest of all time lol

They literally went 3 decades without beating UF. If you don't think they had that game circled I dunno what to tell you.

And now that they've won 2 in a row, I assure you they want to keep their streak going

If my team had lost for 31 straight years, I would probably not want to pay attention to that history either and instead focus on the big two-game winning streak. ;)

And the SEC would have to check first with Alabama to get their OK for us to get a better schedule .

It’s easier to believe that teams have to really get up to beat us.

Didn’t Milton say he was undefeated in FL?
