Most likely, going to Colorado was the best thing for him.

    Yea...that as well.
But honestly, if he can't get along with Sanders, then he won't progress with anyone else.

You see some of this in all parts of HS. The popular or good looking kid that peaks in HS and then others go off to med school/law school while they party and drink, the looks fade, the divorce and half the income gone, and they show up for the 20 year reunion having never grown up. HS was their best memory and they live in the past. Cormani is the football version of that. Does not have the discipline or work ethic to exceed at the next level. Has always relied on natural athletic ability and that does not work in major college ball or the NFL

Couldn't he just as easily said? "We have a lot of great young players, not to single anybody out. He is a great player with a great future, and I fully expect him to push himself to do everything he needs to do to be a regular on the field." That is what most non-grandstanding high caliber coaches are going to say.

Recruiting is such a crap shoot, we ingratiate ourselves with the recruiting services rankings and then go crazy over the top 50 players. Well here is some reality about those "can't miss types"-

    Quick review:

Cormani - Hey he may be the next Sanders, but so far, he ain't even playing.

Demarkus Bowman: The running back out of Lakeland that went to Clemson. 5 star, greatest thing since Emmitt..........
    Signed with Clemson
    Transfered to UF
    Transfered again (I forget where)

Why? He is treating him like an adult. He is being called out for not performing. These players want NIL, they need to continue to earn it after they get it.

Bowman is at UCF, not starting, I think he's 3rd string.

Calling out is what you do in private in your office. It is not what you do in public. There is no advantage for the team, and it loses the respect of the player who in this era of transferring will just move on to where he feels respected.

He was asked about him, twice now, so not sure he called him out as much as answered honestly.

Maybe he is trying to motivate him. "Money" McClain strikes me as a bit vain and narcissistic. Perhaps a little humility and and getting poked in the truth is just what he needs. What does Deion have to lose? Kids probably transferring as of now anyway.

Disclaimer: I am no Deion apologist... in fact I am not a fan generally.

Agreed... But some coaches think it's "motivational" to embarrass their players in pressers...

I’m actually ok with how he handled this even though I’m not a fan of him. You’re absolutely right, dudes getting NIL money and thinks he doesn’t need to do anything. Being called out in front of the whole world should be a great motivator.
