Grandparents retired and lived in western KY, Murray area. Community was some of the nicest people I've ever met. Land between the lakes was always some fun camping/fishing.

I think you got your snipe backwards. Should be "They got more in "X" county than the whole state of Florida!"

    No?

My first job out of college was head grower at a small mom and pop nursery in Lake Jem.

Ended up renting the back of a house on the lake itself - just 3 rooms - bedroom, kitchen, and bathroom - boarded off from the front.

    Landlady/owner lived in Henderson, Kentucky.

She came down every so often and was one of the nicest people I've ever known.

Back then you snail-mailed your rent check and she would always send a nice letter back.

I lived there for 2 years until re-locating back to NSB but will always remember how nice she was!

I’m not sure about this but I’ve never liked any bourbon esp with a man’s name like Jack or Jim. Just nasty. I’ll take Russian potato juice any day. It’s like someone saying Stella Artois is a good beer. Gonna have to pass.

I have nothing good to say.

I visited the state a few years ago and expected blue grass, but it doesn’t look any different then everywhere else I’ve been.

Thought about suing for false advertisement.

There is an under 30 crowd that likes scotch or bourbon.

If they drink quality, most of their drinks were born before them.

You don’t call it a nails cutter. Don’t call it a hairs dryer. Don’t call it hands soap. Not bodies scrub or bodies soap. Basically whether we have one or multiples, we use singular. Eye glasses not eyes glasses.

Just thought of this now. Please tell me if I’m wrong if that’s not the same as toothbrush. Moving on.

There are some great musicians and bands from Kentucky, The Everly Brothers, Lionel Hampton, Richard Hell (Television, Void Voids), Jackie DeShannon, Slint, My Morning Jacket, Loretta Lynn, Dwight Yokam and Adrien Belew (King Crimson, Talking Heads, Frank Zappa, Laurie Anderson, David Bowie, The Bears, Nine Inch Nails)

unm, I don’t know if you guys are kidding or what but Kentucky bluegrass is in my backyard and there is no blue in it. It’s just the name of the grass. Kentucky bluegrass is an expensive, impossible to keep alive for more than two seasons grass derived from the state.

You left off Billy Ray Cyrus whose daughter transcended the music industry… Obviously, she inherited that amazing talent from her dad.
