We will be fine on GAME CHANGER team. Napier hired The Count as director of personnel counting and director of jersey number deconfliction.

Exactly. Which is why none should be made either way, especially in the early stages of a game. Each game is unique and we were coming off a crazy high and with a young team like we have, consistency is hard to come by.

I thought I remembered his name from beforehand when I heard it, but it never really registered. That's crazy. No wonder he looked like he was playing so hard with that chip on his shoulder.

I noticed that too. I forgot he was their qb during the game, but noticed he had a bit of piss and vinegar to him.

Other than one solid half at Tennessee the offense has been very consistent.

Done and done, fourth down, too much leading with your chin. keep them honest, throw up the middle, throw deep, throw half back passes and stop throwing to the sideline and behind the line of scrimmage. most teams are keeping nine men close, so those dumb short side to side passes and run banging up the middle don’t do much. We can do better and we can keep defenses guessing, not just for a play, but the whole game, which we have not shown for a whole game. I don’t like being the rushing leaders of the SEC and near the bottom of the league, wake up! We can do both, but we have to learn to score quick and often, or we will be drug up and down the field by better teams on the road. FG’s are for losers and only needed at the end of a game! Lose to Kentucky, we have to go with someone else’s calling the plays! And no excuses with orange and blue glasses on….

We have played two teams with a pulse, so consistent isn’t what we have been, sorry.

Well gee wizz, sounds like a perfect example of a player that has had good coaching to develop his skills and scheming to maximize his on field performance. Unless you are trying to infer that coaching has had no impact on his success, then you are making my argument for me.

Are you lost? This is the "Post-Game Discussion: Charlotte at #25 FLORIDA" thread. I wasn't talking about Colorado. For someone who hates him and his publicity you sure do love to talk about him. It's ok you can come out and admit you love him, no one will judge.

So are you saying we don't need to recruit top rated classes to win at the highest level? And we can win with charlotte level players as long as we have this magic offense that can turn them into champions? Well then guess no need to spend all this NIL money then.

Yep, he was there on the sidelines and in timeout gatherings and dressed out fully, except... he didn't once have a helmet with him all night.

Actually, he made a great point about modern offenses. There's something off with the playcalling. Eguakun was greatly missed last night in the line-up, and I think he was the difference.

I’m just saying - those two have been competing over a year against each other. It seem obvious to this fan that the choice that should have been crystal clear was muddy to this staff. I really really like Billy, but we got some growing to do here.

And they both performed the same until one separated himself.

Before yesterday, other than KOs, what was so obvious about Smack?

How is this so hard to comprehend. A coach can have a successful offense with less than top level talent. A good offensive coach + top level talent = contending for championships. No one is winning a title with Charlotte's talent, but you know that.

I think he was insinuating the offense has been for the most part consistent, just in a bad way. You made some good points in your previous post, all be it with a sledgehammer. :D

Billy relies on analytics way too much, imho. My guess is they chart & plot every play situation in advance and then assign a small group of play calls for each situation. Then Billy gets that information feed to him just prior to making the call. It takes too long to make the calls, paralysis by analysis.

I was watching some podcast on youtube and they talked about a former gator kicker (I want to say Caleb Sturgis, but I could be mis remembering) told them the ball was coming off of Smacks foot with much more consistency this year from his observations, prior to his taking over FG duties. Of course, this is a 3rd hand account so take it for what it is.

I think Spurrier once said " we don't kick field goals"...

I’ll go back to the game before when Smack came in and kept very well making two extra points in a field goal so it’s been two games in a row now
