Deion has done something at Colorado that I commend him for, and that's the interest in Colorado football that they've never had. Your comment, that I've bolded, clearly shows you have as much of an agenda as you think any poster that doesn't like Deion has. There are clearly coaches that are despicable, Jimbo, Freeze, Petrino, etc. and I've read a multitude of posts where people have expressed their contempt for them. People disliked Spurrier because he said what he thought and still kicked their a$$es. Deion could show some humility other than when he gets his a$$ kicked.
Still about him. If he was at a party and there was only one light on, he'd be standing under it so everyone could see him. It's his utter lack of humility that's why he's so disliked. I've read many times that's he's a good guy, so I don't have anything personal against him, but he's done nothing as a coach to strut around that would elevate him to the level he thinks he's on.
I didnt accuse any of those coaches of being dirty when their players engaged in thuggish antics, so there was nothing to defend.
He’s been publicly humble and thankful to God for the chance to still be alive especially with his health issues. I don’t get this need for certain people to “need to show some humility” although that rhetoric does sound very familiar.
You’re pushing your agenda again. Last time you totally showed your hand, and there’s no reason to believe this time is any different
That's totally unrelated to his lack of humility when it comes to why people don't like him. No one who has a heart dislikes him enough to be glad he isn't in the best health, but he's not the only person with health issues related to what he has. I think it's probably safe to say that there are many posters here that have the same problems as he does that don't like him. Just being an fsu alum is enough for me and more than likely many other posters feel the same way I do.
Yes, he has quotes such as that. He also from last week: “God wouldn't relocate me to something that was successful.” When you read his Jackson State intro, it's very similar. God asked him to help HBCUs. Two years later, he's moving on. Feels disingenuous. "My kids that play for me, they didn't choose a university," he said. "They chose me. That's a difference." Hope CU is happy with what this arrangement. These two quotes really get at me, in the context of HBCUs and changing the coaching ranks. I want to believe he's the agent of change. But deep down, I worry Deion's just about Deion.
In all the years Saban and Kirby have been coaching, I have never seen four news articles per day on them, for almost a month now. At the start of a season. Denial is more than just a river in Egypt; it also infects certain people's brains.
Colorado has created a lot of attention this year. And they were exposed in a big way against a way superior team. Still a decent rise from the ashes story IMHO. I don't know much about their coach, but I wish his kid would keep his darn helmet on. I think his kid lacks humility. He's good but, come on... Colorado has been a bottom dweller for a long time, it's good to see some change over there. Too early to say much more from my perspective. But change is good. Go Gators
Lol! Seriously??? Dude showing his ass, another dude points it out = the 2nd dude's insecurity??? Alright then...
So wearing sunglasses now is showing ass? You're showing your insecurity as well. To each their own BTW the maker of those sunglasses are the official sunglasses provider of CU athletics. So it's no different than when there is a Coca cola or a Gatorade bottle on the table.
Do you hear yourself? Wearing sunglasses in doors, is a sign of confidence...and anyone who questions the wearing of sunglasses in doors, is insecure. LMAO! Who knew so many Gators would buy into the church of Prime. Thx...I'll pass.
Who knew that Gator fans on this board would have to defend the fact that they don't like Deion Sanders. Are you ok?
How come I can call Kiffin a clown or say that Harbaugh is a douche or that I can’t stand Kirby and nobody bats an eye, but the moment someone criticizes the Colorado coach, that automatically puts them in a different category? Anyone care to explain that to me?
