@orangeblue_coop For 5 replies in a row, you've overtly implied a certain angle. Based on what I do, I find it insulting.

More than that, you've constructed a situation where he is immune from all criticism. Because criticism will always be just about "that thing." We can be against certain behaviors, except when it's him, because then you're "one of those."

FTR, I dislike Kiffin more than Sanders. By a mile. And Freeze more than that.

No doubt, I don’t like any of them and kiffy is the worst to me. At least Kiffy isn’t being shoved down our throats. He is at a second rate college and just got beat by a substandard Bama team and we don’t have to listen to his shit much till he talks the reigns of the sec.

I don’t have a problem with Saban. He’s kind of like most head football coaches in personality and demeanor. I don’t love the guy, but I don’t hate him. My problem is why you guys hate Deion so much. Deion reminds me of myself when I’m with my close associates. A lot of people like me have to live a double life to be palatable to the world and can only let loose where we feel comfortable.

What you do professionally doesn’t insulate you from having views. I’m not saying you do or don’t, I’m just saying that it isn’t a get out of jail free card. If it doesn’t apply to you then there is no need to be insulted.

The posters (not you necessarily) who have admitted their intense dislike of this man, a strong dislike which they don’t show for other low character coaches in college football, are the ones who have overtly implied their beliefs. Let’s not flip this around on me.

I get it. My customers nor acquaintances have any idea of who I really am. They think I’m normal.

Your definitely not talking about me as I hate em all equally. I can’t wait to shovel shit on Kirby with his three stooges haircut. You just happen to be a staunch defender of the other coach.

It's not what I do professionally, it's what I do with my coaching and free time.

"Get out of jail free card" is an interesting construct. It doesn't matter the life I've led, the deeds I've done. If I criticize this one person, it's proof that I'm "one of those"?

I hope not. I hope what you mean is: if I categorically ad hominem "hate" him, that's too far. But you're ok with debating specific actions/statements/etc. right?

Those other coaches merely annoy posters on here but Deion seems to really bring out a different level of dislike. It’s fascinating.

I'm pretty sure your history of only showing up in certain threads and implying the same thing over and over in those threads until someone comes out and says it is what has caused your motives to be highly questioned. Nobody is similarly questioning @murphree_hall that I've seen.
Probably . . . @murphree_hall was a great Gator poster . . . especially in NBN . . . until he went over to the evil, premium side. LOL! :)

Kirby irritates me just as much . I just want to punch him in the face so maybe more. He’s two time defending national champion so it’s understandable. Dion is always starting shit with every team he plays and plays the victim. He’s like being Mike Tyson and wondering why someone gives you a cheap shot.

Deion has not “started shit” with any team or coach he’s played this season. He is complimentary of them. It’s very telling that you weren’t the least bit bothered by the Colorado State coach insulting Deion before their game and then instructing his players to lay cheap shots against Deions players, but you have all the smoke in the world for Deion. Typical lol

I would expect a Drill Sergeant do that in basic training. Fear is indeed a motivator. But that wouldn't work in a regular unit. Self-absorbed, attention whore NCOs don't last long.

    It's not hard to understand.

    1. Many of us dislike showboating attention whores. Bo Jackson never did flashy stunts like fly private to play both sports simultaneously. Reggie was loathed by players for being a hot dog, of all races, admiring his ho.ers while showing up the pitcher. Can't imagine Mays, Aaron, Robinson, Banks, Baylor, etc., showboating. Had he stared at his home run with Gibson on the mound, Gibby would stick it in his ear the next time up. We all hated Mark Gastineau for his stupid Sack Dance, showing up the quarterback.

    2. Us Against the World is a tried and true motivational strategy, but does it have to be advertised. If "It's Personal" is directed at everyone for some real or perceived slight, then it wears out It's usage.

    And more than anything.

    3. The media, led by the Worldwide Leader in Hype. I call this the Stairway to Heaven syndrome. Public oversaturTion of ANYTHING causes irritation and resentment. Why would anyone hate Tebow, except for oversaturation? No one hated him because of his skill, and few hated him for his personality and religious beliefs. The media exposure is responsible for 70% of the animosity...

No, I’m not saying that. What I’m saying is you can’t just use what you do or deeds you have done as a carte blanche to dismiss any stereotypes or bad thoughts you may have. Once again I’m not saying you have bad feelings or sentiments, but being a coach doesn’t automatically make you free of anything.

Hey man… sometimes I got to keep it real. I think that it’s hard for people to understand all the little slick statements that I and others ignore to be a part of polite society. Usually, I don’t make a big deal about them, but this over the top hate for Deion has me in my feelings a little bit. Not gonna lie.

True… right place right time. But Deion tones it up and down depending on the setting, and then he gets called fake. It’s not fake, it’s what leaders do. In fact, people here criticize Billy Napier for being to even keeled on the sideline. They want more fire and passion. Deion gives his team that. But I like both coaching styles. You just have to make it work for your team. They both can be effective.
