Hello Gator fans. I know many of you have talked with me for many years of NBN, but I have posted over here for a great many years as well. I wanted to give you some information about this UK team.

Kentucky has not played a complete game all season. We have played a very soft starting schedule, but this team has potential.

The Kentucky defense is going to be really good. It starts on the DLine with Deone Walker who is a star in the making. He clogs up the middle and can cause problems. We have Wallace at LB who has elite speed and is a player. The question mark has been the secondary but they have played well. Hairston has been the standout with 2 pick 6’s, however he also had some penalties as well.

Our offense is very perplexing. Leary is a hell of a quarterback but no consistency what so ever. Our offensive line is a work in progress with some new faces. Leary has had to run for his life several times and forcing bad throws. Our running back Ray Davis came from Vandy and he is shifty but not the one to get tough yards. McClain has played well, but against better competition this could be worrisome. Our receivers are the best we have had at Kentucky in a long time. Key, Brown, Robinson are a nice trio. Each has had some good games, but we have not had a game where all we are the same page.

Hope this gave you an idea about UK. I am very bullish on this team but I also know how tough and elite the SEC is. I look forward to great discussion with great fans with just a small mix of trash talk. Looking forward to a great game with no injuries.

I do think this will be a battle of the defenses. Unfortunately, we have a negative turnover margin on the year with only one INT for the defense. We have shown we can get up for a big game at home. Have not shown the maturity to play a clean football game on the road yet. I expect Kentucky’s defense to play very well, cause a turnover or two and the game come down to the fourth quarter. Either team could win.

I totally disagree with you. The OP Avatar is fierce and formidable, and I instantly knew the poster was serious and to be feared.

It feels like Kentucky has imposed it will in the trenches on us for several years. Both sides of the ball. I worry it will be more of the same, especially the UK d-line, as Jeff says.

We can't survive a game where inside runs get stuffed, putting us behind the chains on every drive.

Ya gotta miss Kavosiey Smoke. One of the best names in college football. I thought he was a decent football player. From the looks of it being used on defense at Colorado as a grad transfer. Only 1 offensive snap and 4 tackles.

I have nothing to add to this thread, but I needed to get Luci in on the dog conversation. She's a fierce, attack yellow labrador, or is that a total contradiction?

Well, we do have a defensive tackle that can clog an entire zip code. And a WR that uses some kind of dark magic to make impossible catches. And our coach has a "Process", so look out for that. We also have a foreign exchange student in charge of our special teams (no special teams coach).

We have upgraded from Smoke with Ray Davis from Vandy. He killed us last year. He just isn’t a bruiser like Rodriguez.

It is past time that the Gators take the ky game seriously. After dominating them for 30 years we have become their super bowl.

    Thanks Jeff!
Like everyone else, that doggie is beyond cute.

I find it exciting, the coming week 5.
    Huge game for both teams.

After being derailed in the opener, we have won 3 straight and the Cats are of course unbeaten.

UF needs to prove they can win on the road and you guys want to go to 5 - 0.

    Can't wait myself!

Same game as last year. Kentucky will make Florida throw the ball to win. AR couldn’t do it, gave them a pick 6 and 2 short fields. Can Mertz do better? Idk. I hope so lol.

Hard to know anything about the UK offense they’ve played literally no one and Uf will be the first competent defense they’ve seen but I think kentuckys strength (receiver) is going against Ufs weakness which is coverage.

That being said Kentucky’s opponents are a combined 5-12, with only 1 win over another fbs team (vandy beat Hawaii). Ball st. Akron and vandy are bad on offense and defense, and so honestly it’s hard to know just how good Kentucky is or isn’t.

Going to be a good one.
Think we have the edge at QB, who would have thought that.
    Also RB and overall Defense.
Saying that I say Fla in 7-10 pt win.
I also have been wrong before, but I like our QB think he will be the difference.
