Testing keeps fear alive. And loss of taste and smell is nothing new.

No antivirals. Usually that’s just for older people and immune compromised. My 90 year old parents got Paxlovid.

Researchers isolated the virus from the first US covid patient. I fully expected you to deny it. That source you provide is rubbish, though it explains a lot about your germ theory denialism.

Of course, germ theory denialism makes no sense since science determined that germ theory is valid and other explanations are not. That's how it works.

I wrote that the causes you spitballed such as homicides, accidents, deaths by despair, iatrogenic etc aren't counted in the excess death numbers in the first place and therefore they would have no bearing on the trends found in the CDC data. The data only include deaths from the listed criteria.

You also can't point to instances in which the above were included in the data because the CDC doesn't provide individual level info in their excess mortality data.

My kids are fully vaxxed and doing just fine. For my eldest, the data shows vaccination reduces the risk of hospitalization and death. For my youngest, there was a small risk of myocarditis from the vaccine, but data shows the risk from infection without vaccination to be higher, with greater risk of a severe case leading to MIS-C.

I'm happy with my decision. And given all the data, I'd do it again. Reducing risks is a good thing.

I'll let the data, experts, and my pediatricians guide me. Not some ignoramus on the Internet who doesn't understand metrics and what safety signals really are.

Your pediatrician is certainly not guiding you to jab your kids again if they know what they are doing. As they know they made a mistake the first time.

Please don’t jab your kids again!!!

This is not about being a doctor. Though it is clear doctors were never pushing these shots on healthy kids.

Oh, so you feel like you have enough background to perform medicine on children, but not adults? Is that because of your engineering degree?

Imagine the arrogance and narcissism it takes, as somebody with no medical or research background, to call actual doctors and researchers "idiots" while telling other people how to medically treat their children, without regard to their doctors.

One more hiking story from this weekend. Was up in Harper’s Ferry where some of my favorite hikes are.
I came around a trail bend and in a small forest clearing were a doe and a fawn foraging. It’s not unusual to see deer, but usually when they see you they run, move further away, or get very cautious and eye you til you walk past. These two tolerated me, I was close enough to hear them chewing. The mom looked up at me every minute or so to make sure I wasn’t doing anything, but she wasn’t overly stressed, kept looking around for food and didn’t call the fawn over or run. The fawn was self grooming and eating in turn and didn’t care about me at all. I watched for about 10 minutes sitting on a log before deciding to leave them alone. But it was the first time I really got to see them living their real lives when people aren’t usually watching. Just a really cool few minutes to be in their world. What was also cool was a couple came by after a few, when I pointed out what I was watching you could see the sheer happiness on the woman’s face. They were all still there when I left.
So…Sometimes you break your arm, sometimes you see that. Fair trade for me. :).

Worse, he said flossing your teeth would protect you from Covid and he relies on natural immunity to prevent catching it...after he's had it twice and spread it to God knows how many unfortunate souls. I guess after he has it 10 times he'll have the world record amount of natural immunity. You can't make this stuff, you just drop your jaw in "wonderment."

Yes. The public health officials in the US are idiots that still advise a healthy kid to take one of these shots.

And yes you should talk to your doctor. I have said that repeatedly.

Please do not jab your kid and grandkid again if you already did (if you are one of the vast majority who did not then you won’t be now)!!!

And if my doctor advised me that do that, you know better than my doctor? Do you take separate appointments to see children for medical care and give out medical advice from the reception desk?
