We also need more skill players. They seem to get injured far too often... we need more than 2 deep... 3 or 4 deep is more like it.
Pretty accurate. Makes sense that we're not too strong of a 2nd half team yet. The dudes are so young...still building that 4-quarter SEC endurance it seems.
My fear is stubborn coach. Look if we just made this block, the play works….. sounds familiar. Hopefully he is the complete upgrade we hoped for and reverses course. Go Gators
In reality Billy wasn't canning his defensive coordinator last year, We just got lucky he got taken from us. Billy likely would have brought them back and we wouldnt have our MVP of the year so far Austin Armstrong. With last years defense and the wretched play calling we likely get a loss tonight and against Tennessee. Billy needs to adapt...he is a bad offensive coordinator which is going to cost us games.
Another perspective: a little concerning when your QB has nearly perfect stats and you struggle to put a patsie away.
Just one glaring critique about one player... "Montreal" needs to run to daylight... not into the middle of a scrum like he did over and over again tonight. That is all...
Didn't get to watch the game but just saw Ricky's catch. Hot take but possibly the greatest catch in UF football history..
UK played 3 directional schools (didn't dominate them either) and Vandy while giving up 28 points to vandy offense and QB leary throwing 2 INTs against vandys defense
Those 2 fumbles really hurt us. On the bright side we didn't miss a kick today and kicker was probably our BIGGEST concern going Into the game.
Agree, but hopefully they can improve throughout the course of the season. FL fans aren't gullible fools anymore after Muschamp and Mac. We can tell a limited offense when we see it. We know they aren't hiding anything and they don't have any secret plays they are saving for the big games.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but the only ball that was actually thrown into the endzone was our 1 TD. How many red zone trips with exactly 1 pass into the end zone? It's as if we are so risk adverse we don't even try to score when we get into the redzone. I hate that mentality.
Its not the guys being young it is the conservative milk the clock philosophy Billy runs when he goes up a couple scores. He has gotten away with it so far but its ugly. Spurrier probably has to leave his box by the middle of the 3rd quarter before he goes crazy watching that clock management stuff.
