Don’t know what’s happening in practice, but he didn’t really take advantage of his opportunities last year. So far he’s taking advantage this year. Let’s hope he keeps it up.

 

For the 3rd or 4th time, the O-Line is patched together right now with starters out for the first half and an injury to a key back-up. They have to communicate effectively without much practice as they have very limited experience together.

It's perfectly fine to be conservative today. We don't need to beat this team 100-0. (It would be nice, but it's not necessary). We can be conservative and vanilla, as long as we still win comfortably, keep everyone healthy, and not show anything interesting for the upcoming SEC opponents...

Fwiw Billy does not have a conservative reputation. Dude went for it on 4th down time and time again last year. And his rep from Louisiana is one who isn't afraid to take risks.

But... His offense is heavily predicated on the run. And right now we ARE playing a bit conservative because 1. we have injuries and 2. we're getting young guys experience.

Do I want to hang 50 on them? Of course. But that may not be what's best for our team. We're getting guys rest who need it, and guys playing time who need it. We'll be fine.

But I'd expect a 38-6 type game rather than some crazy blowout where we paint the streets green.

 

It’s a school we should run over w our talent. Should not be a game at halftime and it looks like it might be. Our second team Ol - 2-3 of them- should dominate this team.
