NC State at Virginia, Friday at 7:30pm on ESPN

It doesn't help that the dude looks like he's cosplaying as a football player. Probably the least intimidating person I've ever seen.

 

Weird game at the end. NC State did not stop the 4th down play that allowed the TD, the penalty on the lineman to push the 2 point play back to the 20-ish yard line, the actual completion on the 2 point play to get the game tied, then the lack of quality defense (probably the DC's calls) on UVa's part with only about 20 seconds left to get NC State into longish field goal position, the missed FG so the game is going to OT. But NO, the UVa defender did something less-than-correct trying to block the kick and so State gets another, more close shot and wins it in regulation (actually past regulation, can't end with defensive penalty). Game over.

IMO, two things come to mind. First, UVa went conservative on 1st and goal at the 3 and ended up kicking a FG to get the game to 1 point instead of going for it at the 1.5. Bad play calls IMO and UVA is winless and is playing at night and at home. Go for it!!!

The other was the last interception by their QB when things were clicking. There was at least a FG on that drive. Bad, BAD interception.

Not sure their HC is capable at this level.
