He was a distraction (some of it not his fault) and not a good NFL player. I’ll allow it but he’s at the bottom of that list in my mind.

I dislike such lists in general, but this one in particular. It reeks of an unnecessary hit job.

As for Tebow, brace yourselves: I loved him as a football player and think he got run out of the NFL without really given a chance. However, I didn’t much like him. I think religion is a private matter and am highly suspicious of those who wear it on their sleeves, or face. I’m sure most would feel the same had he been Muslim.

    So sue me. :D

Yeah Kurt Warner isn’t on this list. Know why?
He wasn’t always jabbering about Jesus and he was a very good player.

Warner kept it where it belonged - in his church, certainly not the locker room or on the field. At least, that's what our parents taught us as kids.

I feel similar although I don't recall Tebow ever really going overboard with religion as it pertained to his playing or game days. Onviously it was always part of his persona but i thought overall gameday was about football not religion. I will say I share some pretty unpopular opinions about Tebow myself although nothing bad really I just know his fans fiercly defend ANY criticism of him. I'll leave it like this. Wuerffel was Tebow without the cameras or celebrity in my opinion.

It really wasn't his fault at all. Major distraction just for him being who he is. I imagine he'd have preferred to be way outside the limelight until he retired. To call him a bad teammate is weak as hell

Can’t disagree but I liked Sexy Rexy’s attitude.

    Agreed!

I literally just spent 10 minutes of reloads to see how he ended up on the list. What a ridiculous reason!

Percy did not surprise me. While quiet and humble the times I met him. I played pick up bball with him a few times. In the game he is as intense and focused as it gets! So in a locker room. I could see that coming out. Truly a great person and super humble away from the game!

    AH…no comment.

This article is looking for clicks. I gave in to read on the Gators. There is that…

As an aside I find Tebow haircut incredibly annoying. It’s an absolutely ridiculous look for a man closing in on 40.

My favorite was Charles Haley of the Super Bowl era cowboys

To further prove the extent of his manhood, Haley was fond of pulling out his “junk” wherever he pleased — sometimes even in team meetings — and either showing off its size or pleasuring himself while talking about other players’ wives.

According to former teammates, Haley cut a hole in the roof of teammate Tim Harris’ car, got on top, and urinated inside

Not sure about that. I remember Warner being similarly outspoken, Tebows voice and mannerisms did always sort of make me cringe, still now as a TV personality. Even “the speech” I have to admit i always found tacky. But what the hell, he got it done. The speech became stuff of legend because afterwards the team went on a roll and it led to a championship. It wasn’t just vapid words, he got it done.

Warner played at a H.O.F. level. I really think that was the bigger factor. Tebow was statistically bad in the NFL, and nobody wants a backup QB who brings a bunch of hype from day 1. It was a shame a team didn’t want to play to his style, at least see if it could work in a dual theat offense. It was travesty Tim never got a real shot after Denver. So many teams that had nothing to lose from a 1-2 year Tebow experiment. Yet nobody would do it. Everyone that signed him after Denver wanted him to be a “gadget” player or “convert to a TE”. None of that made any sense to me.
