Putin will likely be executed before his capture or trial, or he'll commit suicide like his predecessor Hitler did. After he loses his war in Ukraine, someone will put him out of his misery. But a trial would be interesting, just like a trial of Hitler would have been.
Note to self: never admit you are out of ammunition! You might get sent to the front, like these artillerymen did. Better to just pretend to fire your artillery, and shout "BOOM!" if anyone walks by. Russian soldiers who ran out of ammunition say they are being sent to 'certain death' in a video shared by a Ukrainian official They probably used the last of their artillery shells on the Russian soldiers trying to surrender. Wouldn't that be ironic?
Russians are being destroyed in the western sectors of the Zaporizhia Oblast. They lost a total of 700 soldiers in three days, according to ISW. In one battle area. Things seem to be falling apart rather quickly for Russia in this war . . . Russian forces were decimated on a key part of the front line, losing more than 300 troops in one day: ISW
Another option for looking busy after you run out of ammunition: take turns pretending to give your fellow soldiers a beating with a wooden stick. You do NOT want to get sent to the front! And officers like to see discipline, right? Ukrainian drone captures Russian soldier pummeling subordinates with wooden stick – odd video
Major milestone for Ukraine. They have gotten through the first two Russian lines of defense in multiple areas, and the IFV's are driving through and getting behind enemy lines. The beginning of the end for the Russian army. Putin's last dance. Tell the Fat Lady to warm up, because it's almost over. Katy, bar the door. Just kidding, propagandists. Russia has several months of a slow agonizing death to look forward to! Ukraine breached Russia's fearsome defenses with vehicles for the first time, analysts say — a major milestone in its fightback
I don’t disagree with this but I think feeding the people would be a good move long term. Stamp every bag with an American flag or something.
“It’s all lies,” the official said, speaking of the Ukrainian claims of incremental progress in the offensive that has suffered staggering losses, while gaining ground in a few scattered areas that the Ukrainian military measures in meters per week. Putin probably thought it would be over in three days following the invasion with victorious Russian troops marching into Kyiv and Zelensky ending up fleeing, dead or in a Russian penal facility.
This is Prague in 1968 following the Soviet invasion. Those are victorious Soviet troops on the tank. Putin probably thought that there would be a similar result in Kyiv in 2022.
… and were frostbitten and having to subsist on zoo animals ? Your people. Never mind the guy (you furiously googled to find dirt) who was wrong (like everyone else) on the duration of the war, what do you think about the sources he cited ?
Putin has now banned fuel exports from Russia as they are running short on gasoline and diesel Putin’s war machine risks running out of fuel, so Russia is banning the export of gasoline and diesel (msn.com)
Somewhat ironic considering that Russia is the world's third largest producer of petroleum. On the other hand, they're not even in the top 15 in refining capacity.
Which has to do with ? In any case, I think you’d having to admit that the gas station masquerading as a country is doing fairly well, fighting 40+ nations with one hand behind its back.
This thread is always informative, so I personally appreciate the updates from the active posters on here. The crazy Ivan updates however...
