I think the government includes so-called Republicans, who could be the main source of the problem. Right now these so-called Republicans are trying to shut down the government altogether.

Well those 3 lines are post pandemic and the black line is the most recent and it is at post pandemic lows. So Biden has decided to grant temporary protected status to 470,000 migrants fleeing a dysfunctional Marxist dictatorship. I'm so old I remember when migrants fleeing a Marxist dictatorship from an island roughly 90 miles south of Key West were automatically entitled to asylum.

Speaking of the refugees from the island, while the overwhelming majority went on to become productive law abiding Americans, let's not forget that result wasn't an absolute certainty.
