Apparently, the Baton Rouge Police have a warehouse where they take arrested citizens for illegal strip searches and beatings. This article outlines of the allegations, including the cops turning their body cams on/off in unison so the bad stuff doesn't get recorded, and that this was well known by the department and supported.

The FBI in Louisiana has been asked to assist the Baton Rouge Police Department in its criminal and internal investigation after attorneys filed a second federal lawsuit against the department, several individual police officers and the city in connection with an alleged torture warehouse dubbed the “Brave Cave,” according to a complaint.

“The Baton Rouge Police Department is committed to addressing these troubling accusations and has initiated administrative and criminal investigations,” the police department said in a statement to CNN on Wednesday.

I would say the war on terror is coming home, but Chicago had one of these well before 9/11

If you don’t want to be tortured by the police, just don’t be suspected of committing a crime. Thought I would say it before the apologists got here.

Look, I'm sure only the bad apples called it the "brave cave" ... the good ones had a much nicer name

Plus you never see them cover the fact that there was some property damage at adjacent to BLM protests, which is torturous to hear about again and again on Fox, not to mention how painful it is to have been stuck in traffic or hear their leaders talk about systemic racism without any deference. A fair report would cover both as at least equivalent, and realize police are only protecting sensibilities

Why don't you say what you mean? I've no idea what that meme is supposed to mean. The biblical quote does seem appropriate for what those cops did, however.

And in a sense, Philly (and former mayor Frank Rizzo) before Chicago. Though in Philly's case, the torture was occurring in interrogation rooms. Truth is, police extralegal violence has existed as long as there has been police, regardless of location--some ways hidden in plain sight.
