    The obsession on the white boots shows the childishness of the left. I have inlaws who are commercial fishermen and most of them have white rubber boots on their boats. Rubber boots basically come in two colors, black and white. In the summer time black rubber boots are hot as hell, especially on surfaces like asphalt but I wouldn't expect you guys who have never worked an outdoors job to know that.

    These things are silly and not sure how much they matter. But not entirely new either. Reminded me a little of the Michael Dukakis in the tank photo op that was widely panned and laughed at.

    Although it's the other House of Congress I would suggest that the House of Representatives go in the opposite direction and require male members to wear suit jackets at public committee hearings, especially if one of those male members is a committee chairman. Although it's four years old this comes to mind.
