why do you believe companies invest money in automation such as auto plants, grocery and airline kiosks etc ?

The problem low wage businesses are having attracting help is that most of their former worker base has figured out how to make money online so they don't have to settle for slave wages.

What do any of those have to do with a small business?

i believe his point is that automation will trickle down eventually to all businesses, big or small, thus eliminating workers.

    Tears of boredom.
You must feel dumb equating teaching with flipping hamburgers.
Just say you’re sorry to our educators and put the shovel down.

    Here’s one source:

    McDonald’s Franchise Costs $1.3M (+ Profits & AUV 2023)
    McDonald’s franchise profits
We estimate that a McDonalds franchised restaurants makes $186,000 in profits per year. This represents a 5.3% EBITDA margin

    And another:

In the U.S. the average McDonalds is able to generate a staggering $2.9 million per year.

Despite this, the franchisee brings home on average between $150,000 and $250,000. This is because a majority of the sales revenue goes to paying costs associated with running a McDonalds
How much can a McDonald's franchise owner make a year?.

And I agree terrible ROI IMHO

I’m truly sorry for your educators who utterly failed you. They didn’t teach you to read or reason. They sent you out into this world ill-equipped to express a rational thought. It’s funny and sad.

Nah that was Covid, and the reopening and vaccines were responsible for the job growth afterwards.
It was going to happen regardless of who was in the oval.
All the fiscal stimulus ensured that.

Well you did lump skilled workers with at least a BS degree in with people who don’t even need a GED…

Don't disagree about covid. But likewise, business opening/closing trends were going reflect the shock of covid as jobs did.

Weird. I’m doing pretty well actually.
No thanks to the libbies who keep trying to tax me to death.
Small biz must be a foreign language to you since you know absolutely nothing about it.
