    LOL confirm biases.

You just don’t want to hear the truth. Which is we are not hospitalizing people for Covid. With Covid is a completely different thing. And then the laity that there are real concerns about safety. I will take it from a doctor working the front lines all day over a public health official all day long.

Big pharma appreciates you not questioning though!

And the dental floss is tickled pink with your flossing to avoid Covid recommendation. Apparently one of the people that actually takes you seriously must have really stocked up.

Yes, confirm biases. You're grasping onto whoever and whatever provides you the appearance of authority in support of your antivaxxism.

If we want to talk about "truth" or science, perhaps we should start by addressing the following issues in the study:

(FWIW, I didn't identify the below issues first--but I did look to determine whether they were legit potential flaws in the study)

    1. Lack of significant findings wrt Pfizer & Moderna alone; only significant when pooled
--Calls into question whether this was a methodological artifact as opposed to a true effect
--Potentially fatal to the validity of their findings

    2. Massively wide 95%CI for risk differences & ratios
--Calls into question whether there were any significant differences at all
--Potentially fatal to the validity of their findings

    3. Comparison of events rather than individuals having events, which leads to over-counting since individuals can have multiple events
--Likely overstating negative effects, i.e.adverse events
--Potentially fatal to the validity of their findings

    4. Related to #3, not determining the seriousness of individual events beyond the broad "Brighton Collective" categorizations, i.e. not being able to determine whether events that they counted as SAEI under Brighton were actually serious adverse events as experienced
--This isn't fatal to the study's validity, but necessarily demands a much more qualified interpretation of their findings.

I was going to just ignore your posts after the crap you pulled. But since you are this stupid and apparently struggle with reading comprehension. I will quote what I said and try to help you one time…

“Flossing your teeth. Eating healthy. Those are known things that keep you healthy and are actually far more helpful in fighting Covid when you get it verse an experimental drug that causes unnecessary inflammation and provides no protection from the disease.”

Nowhere did I ever say flossing will help you “avoid” Covid.

So you can leave your last response and this response without editing it if you wish. I kind of hope you do because it shows the liar and stupidity in you.

It is the whole. The cdc has been peddling garbage study after garbage study.

There is a reason they don’t require Pfizer and Moderna to run the RCTs to answer the questions. They know the likely answer. Then you look at the real world and what is happening on the ground. We are not seeing people hospitalized “for” Covid. But the media and cdc present it that we are. In order to push a drug onto people that you know have no reason to take. They literally want everyone regardless of health to take it. You know that is not medicine or science. It is the antithesis of it. Yet you don’t question it. No you look the other way. I just think you should ask yourself why are we recommending something that I don’t even agree with. No way you are advising your kids and grandkids to take this shot!

You were the one who posted about the ER doc's study. I addressed the study. You're now trying to pivot away from it rather than dealing with the scientific issues.

That's the conspiratorial view that of course ignores how it is common practice that has existed long before covid vaccines. And the reason for this practice are several: 1) small changes to vaccines are not likely to produce significantly different potential negative effects 2) actually being able to conduct an RCT is much harder under current circumstances.

To claim that "they know the likely answer" is correct, but not in the way your conspiracy goes--the new vaxx are unlikely to cause more adverse events given that "real world" data from 200m people having received them shows only a rare chance of experiencing an adverse event, which is also one of the reasons why the FDA doesn't require new RCTs.

And tbh, I don't begrudge folks taking some issue with this practice. On some level, there are legit concerns, including political ones. On another, however, to fashion that it's all just malevolence seems nothing more than conspiracy, or at the very least, cynicism and binary thinking run amok.

You have been making the same argument for years. Can't say that it matters to you if people are dying by the thousands or tens a day, you're antivax and that is the beginning and end of it for you and nothing that counters this belief will factor in. But you can change that and address the study that you introduced to this thread.

Thanks. I’m the oldest of five siblings and the only one who remembers how the radiation ravaged him.

That's a really tough memory. I had radiation for prostate cancer but had no side effects other than I always had to know where the closest bathroom was.

I am definitely anti covid shot now. I am not anti vax.

I am just pointing out that you are just following garbage studies instead of asking questions. That is your choice. And no doubt it is harder to conduct a RCT now. They did that on purpose. But it is still possible.

Medicine is Art and science. It is not everyone take a shot. It baffling you do not see this…

    You were in 2021 too.

You've alluded to garbage studies multiple times but haven't provided them or how they're garbage. In any case, I was addressing a study that was discussed in the yt vid you posted.

I have asked questions, and because the evidence strongly suggests that vaccines are safe, my most immediate concern is satisfied. That doesn't mean I think there is zero risk, of say, an adverse event, but that risk appears to be remote based on multiple studies and real world evidence considering how over 200m people have been vaccinated and those risked monitored using at least three different means.

Same time, that risk not absolute. It's relative to risk from a virus killed over 1.1m Americans in 2 years, not to mention brought real harm to health for many millions more. I also have a really deep appreciation for the destructive potential of infectious disease, as history has repeatedly shown us. On the flip side, I didn't have enough of appreciation for just how much internet shitposting there would be and how conspiracy-inclined and easily led astray so many people are.

Can you not see the 1.1 million number is inflated by the media. It is like the BS 95% hospitalized for covid are unvaccinated BS. The disease was worse than I thought it would be. But the fear campaign that scared the mess out of people unnecessarily has caused far more damage than the disease itself.

Seriously. These shots failed. Really failed. At best they provide a small therapeutic help sometimes. They do nothing to slow the spread. This was a handout to pfizer and moderna. It is disgusting and evil. And pfizer has done plenty of good in the past. But this was criminal if you ask me.

I will say you at least get it now though you still defend the idiotic guidance you won't follow.

I am honestly glad my parents got the alpha variant. As they would have taken one of these shots and I would have supported it at the time. They are doing just fine in their 70s with no shots. And as time went on. It is clear they would not have needed one even if they did not have the alpha version (my mom has presumably had a second round/not sure on dad).

Can you prove, with actual evidence, that the 1.1 million number is inflated? Because there is evidence that we are likely undercounting COVID deaths. Even if we are over-counting hospital COVID deaths, which is debatable, we are likely undercounting non-hospital deaths that could and should be attributed to COVID.

And again, personal anecdotes are not evidence to use for public health. Public health deals with the health of everyone, and does not look at individuals. Perhaps your parents are lucky and don't need the vaccine, but millions of people, same age, and all the numbers show that vaccinated people do better when it comes to severe cases, hospitalizations, and death. How is that a failure?

I've used seat belts and bullet proof vests as examples in the past. Seat belts don't prevent accidents, and vests don't prevent being shot at, but if you regularly use your seat belt, and if you are LEO, wear a vest, you are less likely to be seriously injured or die. This is not a failure. Just like the vaccine. If you are vaccinated, all data shows you are less likely to be hospitalized or die. This isn't a failure either, unless you don't understand science, and have outrageous notions like common vaccine side effects that all vaccine have are safety signals?

Oh I think a whole lot died with Covid. But the number is definitely inflated when it comes to from Covid.

Good grief. Again you can dismiss the Dr. Fraiman as an anecdote all you want. You are sadly mistaken if you think there are a lot of people admitted to the hospital for Covid now. And that is going to be where most of the deaths come from.

It is not good for you. But live in fear my friend if you must. That said…reality is there for you when you are ready.
