If workers might get more money, you know buckeyegator will be there to get mad and take the corporations line

 

You right wingers are like a broken record. This is the same argument I heard several years ago when California originally signed their $15 minimum wage law

 

Workers who don't make a living wage probably qualify for government assistance... I'm tired of subsidizing McDonald's and Walmarts business model.

 

Not in California but the Taco Bell a few blocks from my house has been advertising at $19 an hour for well over a year now. Their prices don’t look much different than others I’ve stopped at on road trips.

 

Interesting point. Had not considered it like that.

 

Lets see, the average rent in San Diego is ~$3200 (its lower and higher in other places), which would be out of reach for anyone working for $20/hr. at 40 hours a week. Its definitely not "afford your own place" or buy a house type money.

 

Fix more prices, especially rent

 

My question is how much did Subway donate, and to whom, to get exempted from the legislation?

 

If you are the average customer being dealt with, $40/hr wouldnt be enough to compensate their time

McDonalds Gross profit for 2022 was 13 billion dollars.

 

That's weak, among other things.

 

Don't look at it from where you're standing, but from where they're serving you.
