A total of 66 defensive plays for 5 guys in the secondary.

Hill, Castell and Mitchell played all 66 snaps
    Marshall played all but 7
Kimber would have played more than 42 if it wasn't for his injury and was replaced by Moore.

Surprised to see so few guys participate against Tennessee's hurry up offense. Maybe they just couldn't get off the field.

Whatever happened to Kamari Wilson? I figured he would be a starter or at least in a safety rotation. He has been getting some plays on special teams, but that is about it.

    Cornerback

    Jaydon Hill: 66

    Jason Marshall: 59

    Jalen Kimber: 42

    Devin Moore: 23

    Ja’Keem Jackson: 8

    Safety

    Jordan Castell: 66

    Miguel Mitchell: 66

Freshman safety Jordan Castell appears to have pushed Kamari to the bench...Castell has been tremendous in coverage, truly impressive. On the other hand, I'm not sure what's going on with Jason Marshall...seems to be struggling. Hard to believe only 2 safeties played, guess their no-huddle made substitution difficult.

We did rotate quite a bit on DLine though.

Two linebackers, James and Williams, played 90% of defensive snaps.

I guess only the best got to play.

We have a ton of youth in the defensive backfield. A little more experience and we could be looking at a 2006-08 type secondary. Optimistic I know but I like where we are at.

Unfortunately I agree on Marshall he doesn’t look twitchy or fast.
