I'm not sure what's she's suggesting. She says that "only the American people can save themselves," but she also believes our elections are rigged and don't really matter anyway. What is she saying the American people can do? She appears to want the American system to implode and be replaced with something else - maybe something closer to Russia or Cuba based upon her posts. The fact that she works for Russia Today doesn't necessarily invalidate her opinions, but notable how much time she spends attacking the West while parroting Putin's talking points at every turn with zero push back on any of that as far as I could tell.

 

I think she’s fundamentally right in attacking the West, the rot from its policies and influences. And I’ve already acknowledged that she doesn’t tender a clear solution. In fact, she may not care. Me ? Millions and millions of Americans would have to see what they don’t want to see or cannot see. It is what it is.

 

I genuinely don't mind people - even Americans - criticizing the West or its policies. I do question the sincerity of those who exclusively focus on the political corruption, wealth inequality, censorship, etc., in the West and telling Americans we might as well give up - while constantly deflecting and providing cover to regimes in Russia and other places. Russia, for example, is the largest country in the world. It has tons of history and resources. But it also has one of the highest suicide rates in the world. Not exactly a shining beacon of freedom and prosperity.

 

Frustration leads over-compensation. And I suspect that she’s a socialist in any case. I try to take a larger view. Russia is not a place I’d want to live. I would further opine that small town America is one of the “least bad” places in the world to live. BUT I also believe that the U.S. government may be the single most destructive entity on the planet and I’m intrigued by countries that say “No!” to the U.S. and the way which the balance of power is shifting.

 

Why it’s comedy gold the way people on THFSG single out improprieties on the other side of aisle. Government by the people is an illusion …
