I think Shane was at the game. In that crazy environment, sometimes you can’t pick up or see those things.
I'm afraid to ask, but what calls to Vols fans think went against them? I didn't see a whole lot that the refs got wrong. There were a few times each team got away with holding, but nothing that had a major affect on the game. The 4th down the in 3Q that Heupel complained the refs delayed, the ball rolled away from the center the refs I think were 100% justified stopping the game to reset the ball.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. "Chewed bubble gum." Thats a great description. Dude has let himself go for sure. Kinda sad actually.
I agree! Napier is going to get at least 3 years regardless of what happens with wins and losses as long as he works to put the program back on a solid foundation. The program is the key. We have to win the right way so a program is built that will be sustainable over a long period of time!
He said he was hoping to have time for two plays. A hail mary (then onside) and another hail mary. Seriously. That was his "reason".
I just want to point out that Coup and Matt aren’t in here talking up the gators but are complaining about a hit in the Colorado game….
Mmm…no. Since Mertz was down when he was hit, the play had already ended with Florida failing to reach the line to gain, thus turning the ball over on downs. That dead back late hit was offset by the Gator being called for fighting. The penalties offset, per the rule book.
They gave the ball to Tennessee because we failed to convert on fourth down. The late hit was a dead ball foul, after the change of possession happened.
I think their complaint on that play was that Florida was allowed to substitute even though Tennessee had not substituted.
