Penalty on UT for hitting Mertz so automatic gator first down. Spot ball, wind clock, and game over

 

We would first have a first down becasue of the late hit on Mertz, so yeah, it was over... The rest of the offsetting penalties are a moot point.

 

Herbie blamed the fight at the end of the game on the latest UT pumpkin coach and the UT cheap shot.

 

1.) UT ran the ball a lot in the 2nd half and did it well so the D couldn’t really tee off on the pass.
2.) CFB isn’t the NFL there are a lot of quick passes. Milton hardly held the ball long enough for the pass rush to get there.

 

It seems like Crawshaw has the yips all of a sudden.

Sorry, but I disagree. One drive ended because the RB made the wrong move on 3rd down.
Even then we controlled TOP with a 3 score lead. Incompletions stop the clock and Mertz hurt both hands.
