On the D side, I wish we would have tried to generate a bit more pass rush in the second half. I know they were trying to avoid the big play with the pass, but they didn't. Their QB showed that he was not so good wish pressure...and in the first half, we got pressure with 4 guys. We won the game, so can't complain too much. Offensive got a bit too conservative in the second half, but it didn't bite us. My only big disappointment is special teams...again. And what's happened with our punter? He's had some really bad shanks this year so far. Smack (PK) is about the only guy that seems to be reliable.
He was about to throw hands got in his boxing stands and everything he wanted a whole piece of someone
3rd quarter continues to be a concern. Was last year and it was tonight again. Obviously you take the win and the positives. Oline did enough against a stout opponent. Defense is young but talented. Running back isn't going to be an issue going forward. Sucks to lose Wilson though but even with him out i wish we would drive the ball and stress the second level at some point.
A tale of two halves. As much as I don’t like the second half play it was a great win in the Swamp with a crap ton of recruits in the building to see it.
This game gives me optimism towards the rest of our season. We’ll have players suspended, but I hope Tennessee does, too.
I saw some people posting in the game thread that they were punches thrown? I went to use the bathroom and walked out of the room after the game and now Colorado is on. Was there a fight when the game was over?
Second half wasn’t awesome, but f it….worry about that tomorrow. Gonna watch all the highlight shows and enjoy the win. And enjoy beating Wisconsin volleyball tomorrow.
Hopefully the hands are minor issues, saw blood all over his towel at one point, but they were only talking about his left hand, and that was in a glove, it was the right hand bleeding?
