Are you really calling a grown man Coach Prime Time just because he conceitedly calls himself that? And, yes, just playing at fsu is enough to carry Gator fan disdain for life. Being a pompous immature jerk is good reason, too. Leave it to ESPN to make him some kind of celebrity. I, too, have a new team to root against, at least until Sanders turns his back on Colorado, too.

I’d imagine he’ll react to losses the same way any other coach who deeply cares about winning would react.

    1. His nickname has been Prime Time for the last 30+ years, it’s how the parents of the kids he recruits fondly know him and remember him. I don’t know why the shock that he’s still using that moniker.

    2. Some of you take this whole “person went to FSU, I’m going to hate their guts for the rest of my life” thing wayy too seriously.

    3. College football has been filled with coaches who are pompous, immature jerks and coaches who have been absolutely terrible human beings for quite some time now and no one ever seemed to care, funny how when the spotlight is on Deion suddenly “he’s what’s wrong with college football.” Very interesting lol

Oh, come on. I seriously doubt you accurately recounted the above exchange.

    You are in complete denial.

You try to sneak a political issue into almost everything you post, and you know it.

Welcome to the world of college football. I hope you enjoy your first season of watching college football. Who has Colorado beaten so far again? TCU and Nebraska? Very few teams have been able to beat Nebraska lately, except for teams ranked in the top-50. And the TCU game--how many points did Colorado win by? Three? You don't see that kind of domination every day. Usually just Saturdays.

I think the word you are looking for is "hype". And it is not surprising when you have a celebrity coach who comes in and wins his first two games.

Again, welcome to the world of watching college football! I hope you like it!

Well, if Beyonce were head coach of Arizona Tech and they beat New Mexico State, I would also expect a lot of media attention, especially if her coach's uniform was "creative". That's all I'm sayin'.

You are assuming, once again, and you know what they say about assumptions.

Deion and his son are in true character right now; showing zero class while WINNING by bad mouthing other coaches and teams, all the while attention whoring it up.

I can't wait to see the classless antics they engage in when they start losing. Their mouths will be running at warp speed. It should be quite entertaining.

Deion has been coaching college football for several years now and lost a couple of championship games at Jackson State, and he and his son reacted with class to those losses. So I’m not assuming anything, I’m going based off what I know.

Also they’re “running their mouth” because opposing coaches start the trash talking. I bet you had absolutely zero issue with the Colorado State coach running his mouth and calling out Deion for wearing shades and a hat while speaking to the media, this after Deion praised him and said he was happy for him. Then the Colorado State coach proceeded to instruct his thuggish players to lay a cheap shot hit on CU’s best player and knock him out of the game and into the hospital. Zero mention of that thuggery and classless behavior from the opposing coach, your only focus is on Deion and his son. Typical LOL.

Let me see if I can simplify things for you:

Deion went to FSU, and I don't like his style and don't have to.

That will have to be good enough for you.

Spoke a little too soon there, didn’t ya? When are you all ever going to learn? 3-0 start for a team that won a single game last season. CU even managed to give us a thrilling double OT. Sanders went into Tom Brady mode late 4th quarter and both OTs. Brady had words of endorsement afterward. Something special going on in Boulder.

The media machine around CU is wild; that much must be admitted. How long can this be kept up is the question. He has to actually develop talent and gameplan with the elite coaches to really compete at the top. Now and at JSU, he's been winning on talent differentials. His kid at QB is very good. Can he win when talent is equal?
