Don't think he ever said they were limited to 10. Those are just the ones he puts into a newsletter. Plenty more

Yet, as you pointed out, there was an exception. Correct? YOU assumed my assault on their “logic” was aimed only at the far-right.
I promise you, I hate the extremes of both parties.

Sure. But you can vilify any group this way.
Its how the whole gays are child molesters or minorities are criminals tripe gets legs.

Literally no large group should be held to the standard of the very small minority that claim it.

By the way. One game out!

His point that mental illness or odd behavior (like what we now call autism, for example) is demon possession? I mean, it's in there, right? Why are you pretending it's not.

Is it? You can cite a verse where the Bible says mentally ill people are demon possessed?

I dont want you to quote some obscure verse where a demon possessed person is described by acting in erratic ways. None of those imply that mental illness is demonic

The scriptures actually touch on many issues. Fear, anxiety, etc.

Jesus even drew a line between mental illness and demonic presence. He is shown to have healed those with illness while casting out demons from those possessed. Two distinctly different things to any person aware of the ministry of Jesus.

It's always the same argument - both sides, not all. Meaningless

Whether he had been less offensive and not used the word "junk," the mere fact that he's encouraging people to rely on faith healing is problematic enough. Also, a pretty significant percentage of people believe it.

Faith healing or healthcare ? At least faith healing doesn’t kill hundreds of thousands a year.

So start a thread about teachers if you’d like. This one is about a pastor.

And so far as we know he hasn’t even diddled a kid. He’s just blaming the devil for what vaccines do.

If faith healing cures autism, why are there so many people of faith who have kids with autism? Did they just forget to pray? Should we assume their prayers were insincere? Or maybe God had other things going on and was just too busy?

Fear and anxiety are common, and barely register as a mental illness, unless it’s extreme. Thats no where near the level of autism. We both know it was common for people with severe mental illness to be misdiagnosed as demon possessed — I don’t even know why you are arguing this point.

Can find me a quote where Jesus came across someone with the symptoms of autism, and determined it was an illness and not a demon?

My point is, is prayer killing them ? Even Hippocrates wouldn’t have ruled out prayer.

Had there been vaccines in Jesus’ day, perhaps he would have rolled at an autism campaign.

Bear in mind that Jesus’ miracles in the Gospels were scare. At last check, only 37 over three years.

Clearly Jesus didn’t heal everyone. Even Lazarus died again.

This thread is no more useless than the endless string of "Pro crime Dem gets mugged" threads posted here.

No. I don't think prayer has the power to kill anyone. People can die, however, because they or their parents eschew professional help and rely exclusively on prayers and miracles. I imagine it only compounds the sadness of those deaths to have to ponder why prayers weren't answered. But I know that "God works in mysterious ways."
