Your record in Y3 determines whether you survive to Y4 or how hot your seat is

Doesn’t matter if you come from a HBC, Sun Belt or a P5.

Results are what drive the action.

Primes Y1 record and Napiers Y1-2 records will drive their narrative. It’s as simple as that

 

I don't think Too Hot should have any influence on our postings here in the 'Gas. There are several Too Hot posters who I disagree with, but when it comes to the sports boards, I do my best to let that go and consider their sports takes for what they are. Sometimes people make these ill references to Too Hot and I think it's bogus. Yours was not an ill ref, though; just a suggestion I happen to disagree with.

 

The poster brought up Too Hot and assertions that are typical in too hot, which is why the large majority of the sports pages posters don’t bother to spend time there. My simple suggestion was if he or she wants to discuss those topics, the appropriate place is there so posters here that want to discuss football can avoid all the political hot air.

 

One time I was in a football thread discussing the Xs and Os of Billy Napier’s offensive scheme and someone quoted me and basically told me “Go back to Too Hot.” Just very oddball behavior.

 

Saban won't even win a natty this year with Saban's recruits. Definitely no proof that Sanders would.

 

I always have watched many players I didn’t like. I always rooted against Jordan as I was a Magic fan. You don’t have to be a fan rooting for someone to be interested. I watched Dion a lot all the way through his career. I’ve never admired him as a person but as an athlete, he was can’t miss tv. He still is and I still root against him.

 

How could you get a Dislike for that?

 

The parents of elite recruits he’s getting believe it, and that’s all that counts at the end of the day.

 

A football coach doesn’t teach a kid how to behave, he just reinforces the virtues and ethics they’ve had instilled in them by their parents and guides them in the 2-4 years he’s coaching them. If your kid comes home acting like a “trashy, self-seeking ass hat,” then he was acting that way (thanks to his parents) long before Deion got his hands on him.

You might want to reread the thread. You are the only poster that chose to take the thread in a political direction. I think Kiffin and Fisher/Petrino are also complete douches….can you think of any other reasons I should be so slanted against them?

Not every kid has virtues and ethics instilled in them by parents. And not every kid is done learning before college.

 

If a kid has no virtues and ethics then they won’t be playing for a coach like Deion, which renders this discussion moot.
