The importance of this game cannot be OVERSTATED - because it is so critical to the season. As opposed to something so unimportant that it’s importance could not be understated.
And I believe in all three of those things, in war and in football. I believe the original question was over whether this game was a must-win (in the football sense, not the WW2 sense). Based on the data we have available today, a win would be magnificent but seems unlikely. I do demand, though, to see better discipline, better special teams play, and better in-game coaching decisions than we saw two weeks ago. Not having a win won’t make me throw a [tantrum] in the game thread. Not seeing improvements in the other areas, though, will make me lose my mind.
It is more important to play a good game and be in it at the end. The Gators can win this game, but they need to be able to play with those other guys toe to toe to have conficence that they can win.
Scott stracklings is probably safe. Scott Stricklin, on the other hand, might be run out of town very soon.
2015 Ole Miss vibes with this one. The crowd will be rockin and we pull this one out. +2 on the TO margin wins this game going away. Even on the TO’s we grind them into the 4th and pull out the W.
Y’all are -urging too much pressure on one game and the coach and setting yourselves up for disappointment. We’re still young, still learning and the first game showed that. Play the long game and look to 2024. BN has showed he can recruit. Look at his past success. It’s super hard for us Gators to be patient, believe me I am not. Just a little more time please we will get there, I believe that.
Sorry, but that just is not so. Eggs don’t become chicks until Signing Day. And BN has not had what I would call a successful Signing Day yet. I hope you’re right, that he nails a top 5 class. But I think he’s going to have to show more success on the field than he has to keep this class together.
To be "fair," he may have seen something on the internet, and it may be true or maybe a little true or not true at all - but who cares? I know that's not his "point," but WTF cares anyway? The only points I care about are... IT'S GREAT TO BE A FLORIDA GATOR! KISS MY FLORIDA GATOR BUTT TENNESSEE!!! YAY!!!
5.5 wins was the average predicted total for the season. There is a reason most of the professionals picked that. Some are just gonna set their higher expectations based on other teams or some other lofty expectation. Then raise hell when they aren’t met. Rinse repeat.
This is painful to say, but the last four years: Georgia: 39-3 Alabama: 38-5 Ole Miss: 25-13 Texas A&M: 23-13 Kentucky: 24-15 Tennessee: 23-15 LSU: 22-17 Miss St: 22-17 Arkansas: 21-17 Florida: 21-19 Auburn: 19-19 Mizzou: 19-19 USCe: 18-20 Vandy: 9-27 We're a LOT closer to 13th than we are to 1st -- or even 5th (Kentucky). Pretty tough for us to talk about bottom feeders...
Bingo. That is where we are as a program. Questionable hires to constant staff turnover have led UF to this point. It’s gonna take a minute. But Deion! Now let’s run another one out of town.
You’re ridiculous. Now run along and do it fast or you won’t catch that Colorado bandwagon and miss out on your opportunity to kiss Deion Sanders’s ass
It is a big game, no doubt. But, win or lose, the rebuild goes on and the players need to know that while the future is not yet written what they do after this game will write it.
