I am starting to get a little optimism that the medical profession is going to battle these authoritarian fascists that have done tremendous harm to the profession. And it goes pre Covid!

Recall that in 2020 the most oft-cited epidemiologist was de-platformed for his observations which undermined the fear narrative.

It is crazy that some still refuse to accept the real hard data. It was there from the very beginning. Any epidemiologist with a brain could have figured it out.

This cluster never needed to happen.

Little or nothing would have happened without the wholly fraudulent PCR test.

And that is the one thing that Trump was right about. Stop testing and ‘Covid’ will go away was literally true.

You keep redirecting to speculating or questioning what I want. Not about what I want, but about what you claim, now it's others who are anti-science.

Anyway, it is not "absolutely wrong" to authorize vaccinations for younger or healthy people. Not wrong to recommend it either. But in the current context, the gains for healthy/younger folk are likely only marginal, which is to some extent, one of the reasons why people who are vaxxed and boosted are likely not getting the new vaccines. But not the only reason.

And let's not forget, you also argued a few times that people should consult with their physicians. Well, if a trusted physician recommends that someone's child or that they get the new vax, that's for them to decide. Right? But your current argument presumes that you know more than they do or the experts at the cdc or fda etc., and that you're arguing from science, none of which is true.

This has opened the eyes to so many physicians. And as I said. It goes pre Covid. The are a lot of drugs that have been given approval with inadequate studies. The covid shot was just done at a level unseen before and with the fear...many at the beginning went along with the short term information was enough for the “emergency”. It did not take long to realize not only was the “emergency” peddled for populations at little to no risk (there was no emergency for them). But the shots just flat did not work as advertised and they can actually cause harm. They were duped with the risk benefit and they know and see the damage done by these idiots in public health/the media/government.

Absolutely if one trusts their physician and wants to make a decision accordingly. Thankfully there are not many left who would recommend a child take one of these shots.

When the great Paul Offit at 72 years old is not taking one himself. You can rest assured the vast majority of pediatricians are not recommending a child take one.

AAPS ..... really. 100% joke. "The Association of American Physicians and Surgeons (AAPS) is a politically conservative non-profit association that promotes conspiracy theories and medical misinformation, such as HIV/AIDS denialism, the abortion-breast cancer hypothesis, and vaccine and autism connections. " Be better.

You are 100% wrong on the COVID studies. All drugs go through a minimum of three phases during testing. All COVID vaccines went through all three phases. The reason why the results felt rushed is the CDC pushed the review of the results to the top of the pile in all three cases. Normally, for each phase, results take months before the CDC has the chance to review, because the CDC normally operates on a first-come-first-served basis. And between 1999 and 2022, the US had over 168,000 drug trials, or over 7,000 per year.

By pushing the COVID vaccine to the top of the pile three times, this shaved off 18 - 24 months of simple waiting that almost all other drugs and vaccines have to endure. But the reality? The COVID vaccines were approved without cutting any corners.

And like any drug, yes, the vaccine can have side-effects that can be harmful. But the benefits far outweigh the harm. The J&J vaccine can cause death in birthing age women, but that vaccine was completely removed from the US. The two that are approved, the biggest potential risk are for young males, who may have minor heart issues that require nothing more than short-term monitoring before everything returns to normal. Meanwhile, all data out there shows the vaccine reduces hospitalization and deaths for all ages 12 and older.

The damage being done are from people who don't understand science. Who think the vaccine wasn't properly tested, even though it went through the exact same trials all drugs go through; the difference was there was no waiting for the CDC to review results! And those who think the vaccines do more damage than good. Maybe this is why Florida, lead by a vaccine-adverse Surgeon General is now currently leading the nation in COVID hospitalizations? Just how many are unvaccinated, or not fully vaccinated? And how many may have been spared had they been fully vaccinated?

Holy Crap, the charlatan posting about Florida "covid hospitalizations"? Wow! Fear mongers rejoice! I guess someone forgot about this little line from the article:

"There are people who are testing positive inside the hospital, but they were not there for COVID," he said. "They were here for an operation or something else, and they tested positive."

OK logic boy, if there are those testing positive for COVID in Florida, wouldn't it mean there are those testing positive for COVID in hospitals all over the country? So, remove those from all the hospitalizations, and who is leading they country in COVID hospitalizations? Must be Montana!!!

Anyone trying to call "covid hospitalizations" without accounting for those are test positive while in the hospital for something else and those actually hospitalized with covid is either a grifter or a charlatan. You can pick which one you are. Let me know what the actual covid hospitalizations are. That is all that matters. Someone getting a knee surgery who tests positive means zero. But grift on! Still waiting for you to post your Gavin Newsome mea culpa on lockdowns, school closures, masks, natural immunity and vaxxing kids. Until then I'll keep calling out the BS

Hindsight is 20/20. Newsom was saying, in hindsight, they would have done a few things differently. OMG, what a relevation! Not. To think during the first global pandemic in over a century, dealing with a novel virus, we'd get everything right the first time is ridiculously stupid. Of course, looking back, you're going to try and figure out what went right, what didn't, and what you'd change given the opportunity.

As for comparing COVID hospitalization rate between states, does it matter the rate of people hospitalized who later tested positive? If we assume the rate of non-COVID hospitalizations who later tested positive are around the same for every state, then no, it doesn't matter. Because it would still mean Florida would be leading the nation in COVID hospitalizations.

There are those likely hospitalized for things like RSV, who also test positive for COVID, that the COVID is a reason they are in the hospital. It is possible for people to be infected by both.

Still, the original point stands. Vaccinations reduce hospitalizations. This link has the data from Jan 21 to Jan 23, for all those 18 and older. To claim the vaccine creates more harm than good is false? Just like the claim the vaccine wasn't properly tested. 100% false.
