Correct. With the new rules, quick turnarounds should be expected. Another reason I respect Deion is he had the balls to send 80 kids packing. Most other coaches are too worried about hurt feelings and the like.

This is the other side of the transfer portal. Players want to be able to move from team to team, well now coaches can move the players as well. I'm OK with this. Look how entertaining this year is already and it wasn't one of the big time programs that did it.

But you can only do it once in the first year and allow the players to leave or stay on scholarship at the school. After that its either leave or no money. It will get trickier for him to make roster moves and still keep his credibility with recruits. Unless he isnt going to hit the recruiting trail very hard and just recruit the portal.

If someone offers him a bankroll, I doubt he has much loyalty to them. I just have no idea where their boosters stand. I’ve said before that I expect some new programs to emerge as they can all pay now without being sanctioned. Tge good ol boy network has lost their grip and now any school that can generate the cash can buy a top roster. Why not Colorado.

I’m fine with it because what’s good for the goose is good for the gander. I don’t like it it as a system though. I think it’s terrible.

I don't think Deion's credibility with recruits is going to be an issue. I'm assuming you were just trying to give us a LMAO moment and not being serious.

This OP is the most over the top post I’ve ever seen in college football.

Yet , everyone knew that and even Urban left College to try his ego in the NFL. I wouldn't rule out Deion giving it a try just to say he did.

To be fair, Wu tang hasn't been relevant since Deion was playing, they haven't had a new real album since before these recruits were born and new York rap is pretty much dead. Kodak black is who these young kids still listen to.

Yea, these players have no idea who Wu-Tang is. That’s like having Chubby Checker on the sidelines in the 90s when I was in college. Lol

I never saw the care and compassion for the kids from Urban the way I see it in Deion. I'm not saying Urban didn't give a damn about the kids, but let's just say he cut some corners when it came to helping them to develop into men.

Not only do the players know Wu, but Deion specifically chose them and not a Kodak Black type for a reason.

I'd like to see him beat Saban in a game, then, instead of shaking his hand at midfield, throw a bucket of water on him. Then Saban can quote Tim McCarver and say, "You're a real man, Deion."

Ok, let’s play it out a bit. Let’s say hypothetically doing that doesn’t work? You think he has a job there next year if they have the ability to buy out their contract? I’d bet money he’d have be canned. Furthermore, if Napier came in and sent 80 kids packing, you think he makes it to the Spring game? Nope, it’s not gonna happen. You can do something like that at a school like Colorado but you’re not going to do that at a school where there is a high expectation of competing year in and year out. A lot of the people that are praising Deion for what he’s “accomplished” are the same people that are saying Napier has no business here because he came from a small school but conveniently forget what Jackson St is.

Do you know the first year rule? Where he can pretty much cut kids - but the university honors their scholarship if they choose to not enter the portal. After the first year they either leave, or pay for Colorado tuition out of their pocket. Its not an issue right now because its working. But in the future its going to be more difficult to make room for transfers coming in unless he isnt going to go after elite HS kids.

It’s silly that you think 2 games means it worked. What’s the rest of the season going to look like? What’s next year going to look like? What’s the next 5 years going to look like. Is he going to be able to sustain it? Maybe he will, maybe he won’t but the difference between you and me is I’m not hitching my wagon to him being some super successful coach like you are after 2 games. Don’t think that makes me silly.
