    I resemble that remark.

But I think the term you were looking for is "squarest".

That was sublime. I will keep that and come back to it. Such a amazing story.

Again, semi unrelated, but UF put out a promo video today that’s pretty cool.

    Me too, Navy, 85-90.

Very well said. To me, football is subordinate to the academic institution. It's right there in the name. Don't like it? Go be the Gainesville Gators in the NPAA.

I may be less austere then that. I think sports reflect the institution, and the students enrolled there. Support for the students that participate should meet, and nurture, the aspirations of the athletes in those sports but, for so all, the University has an obligation to prepare its graduates for a life that is fulfilling, and for most, outside of sport.

    Leather helmets minus targeting calls.
Guys died on the gridiron back then.

Teddy Roosevelt actually considered banning football because of the brutality & fatalities

F$U at 102 might be a little high! They hope to one day have a university it’s football team can be proud of!

What they need is for the economy to tank. That way more strip malls can "donate" their buildings to the university.

Well, that and then putting a new coat of paint on the outside of them.

It wasn't a commentary on their relative toughness, or the dangers involved. It is simply a different era where there were many fewer teams competing.
