I too am hoping for a Gator victory. But I'm not quite as concerned about the play-calling component. I thought the play selection was much better against McNease State. A much different team in Tenn, but nonetheless, there is hope. Gator line won't be able to push the Vols around that easily. This years Volunteers aren't last years team. Afterall, we almost beat them at their place and we were not good last year. While we rein unexperienced and young, I feel pretty good about this matchup. It will be a battle 'till the end. The defense seems to be coming alive; "It's Alive"...

    Go Gators.

I remember when this was a BIG game, both teams were really good and it was a war. It was the game of the week and the talk of the nation. Yes, I’m yearning for the good ole days. :D

With that said, I can’t believe CBS did not select this game for their opening telecast of the year, it’s the best SEC matchup. Instead they picked a crappy game in 27pt favorite UGA vs USCe.

Maybe that changes on Sat. Cali, I have some optimism.

You, I, and all of Gator Nation my friend! Coach needs to get off that damn tightrope to satisfy an impatient fan base. This would be a tremendous start.

We need to pass the ball like Austin Peay did.
Tennessee relinquished 29 pass completions on 41 tries for a total of 260 yds, and a completion rate of 70.7%.
This was the fewest points scored by Tennessee in a home win under coach Josh Heupel.
From ESPN on their new Power Rankings:

    No. 10 Tennessee Volunteers (2-0)
Since Josh Heupel came to Tennessee, his teams have typically beaten up on the teams they were supposed to. That wasn't the case Saturday as Tennessee sputtered to a 30-13 win in its home opener over FCS foe Austin Peay, the same Austin Peay team that lost 49-23 in its opener to Southern Illinois. The game was tied at 6-6 with 4:55 left in the second quarter, and the Vols didn't score their first touchdown until the 15-second mark of the second quarter when quarterback Joe Milton III scored on a 6-yard run. The Vols had 10 penalties for 88 yards, lost a fumble in the red zone and gave up a 52-yard touchdown reception in the fourth quarter. Austin Peay actually had more first downs than Tennessee (19 to 17), so the Vols have some things to clean up before they travel to Florida for their SEC opener next week. -- Chris Low

Reminds me of when LSU came in and Mullen had Tebow do pregame speech. Huge win sky high with lots of recruits visiting. I thought we were launched back close to our proper orbit. &#@*

That Swamp better be rocking like nobody's business!! I mean, Tenn didn't do great this last week. Against a similar type opponent we did better-not sure that means much, but for right now it helps me feel a little bit better. Tenn had a few penalties, and didn't play a clean game. They do have a fast paced offense, but they'll be playing in a hostile environment. I'm hoping that will create some confusion and false starts.

Crap, just realized it's Monday...5 days of pain. Is it a night game? Hope so.

    Go Gators.

If I read that right...Georgia has the same line against South Carolina as Ohio State against Western Kentucky.

Wow. I guess that's why ESPN FPI has us #28 and USCe at #44.

This game is being produced in 4K by ESPN. I know YouTube TV is showing it in 4K. Possibly DirecTV Stream, but I don't have it and don't know if they carry everything ESPN broadcasts in 4K. Not sure of other cable and "cable streaming" options, but I imagine if they have supported an ESPN 4K feed in the past, it will work for this game. The Swamp with new LED lighting might look the best it ever has on TV this weekend.

It’s all in good fun. We all have areas of the state where it looks third world. I’ve just typically seen that on the yearly trips to Navarre the family makes for vacation lol.
